AXIS Audio Manager Pro Updates and Features
This document details the evolution of AXIS Audio Manager Pro through various software versions, highlighting new functionalities, improvements, and expanded compatibility.
Version 4.8 (June 2025)
- Introduced a new web-based paging interface for live and pre-recorded audio messages, supporting real-time communication and two-way conversations.
- Added visual signaling capabilities using text displays and strobes, configurable through Visual Profiles for enhanced audio message reinforcement. Global display settings, like clock format, can also be centrally managed.
Version 4.7.50 (December 2024)
- Enhanced user management, integrating with local Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Active Directory (AD) systems for simplified permissions and access control.
- The root user has been removed. Initial login requires the local Windows administrator username and password.
- Update notifications are now displayed when a new version of AXIS Audio Manager Pro is available, allowing updates directly from the system tray.
- Added support for pre- and post-paging tones, configurable for each SIP extension.
- Support for AXIS C6110 Network Paging Console has been added, allowing centralized management of paging devices.
- Improved playback and error information is available on the dashboard, with more details on disabled sources and destinations, and alerts for missing stream data.
- Contact person information has been added, allowing administrators to provide contact details for system owners.
Version 4.6.2 (September 2024)
- Support for AXIS OS 12.0, including readiness for important changes like the removal of root privileges and new signing requirements for ACAPs. Requires AXIS OS version 11.11 or later (or 10.12 for older devices).
- Added echo cancellation configuration for device sources and talkback, to prevent feedback and echo during two-way communication.
Version 4.6 (May 2024)
- New operational API v1.1 enables programmatic interaction with existing audio locations, supporting access via SIP, RTP, and HTTP, along with volume controllers and device health information.
- Added support for AXIS C1310-E Mk II Network Horn Speaker, AXIS C1410 Mk II Network Mini Speaker, and AXIS XC1311 Explosion-Protected Network Horn Speaker.
- Added six new languages: Czech, Swedish, Finnish, Turkish, Thai, and Vietnamese.
