User Manual This user manual will help you assemble and operate your new Electric Scooter. Be sure to read ALL OF THE INFORMATION in this manual before riding. NOTE TO ALL RIDERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: It's very important that you get parental permission before riding your Electric Scooter. You should find each of these items in your box: [Diagram showing the contents of the box: The electric scooter (1), a power adapter unit with cables (2), an L-shaped Allen wrench (3), a slender tube with a valve connector (4), and four screws (5).] Remove all packaging material, then inspect each item for any accidental damage that may have occurred during shipping. The electric scooter comes partially assembled. [Diagram labeling the parts of the electric scooter: Handbrake (with bell), Headlight, Tiller, Headset Handle, Side Reflector, Front Hub Motor, Disk Brake, Rear Wheel, Accelerator (right thumb throttle), Display, Console, Switch Button, Folding Mechanism, Tail Light.] Before using the scooter, you must fully charge the battery. Charging Requirement: Charge your scooter in conditions between 32°F and 104°F. At the bottom of the stem is a built-in anti-theft device consisting of a steel cable lock with a numerical code. Components: [Diagram of the anti-theft device showing numbered parts: a locking head (1), the cable (2), storage space (3), the lock mechanism (4), a locking button (5), dials (6), and a code reset button (7).] After use, push the anti-theft device cable into the stem tube and secure the cable head in the storage bracket to prevent it from hanging down or getting caught in the wheel. Before folding, ensure the scooter is powered off. Folding: Ensure the electric scooter is powered off. Press the lock buckle as shown and pull down the lever. Fold the tiller down towards the rear fender and lock the tiller hook to the fender hook buckle. Unfolding: Unhook the tiller hook from the fender hook. Pull the tiller upwards and lock the locking device on the bottom of the tiller by pulling the clamp towards the tiller. Test the tiller before riding to ensure it is locked securely. [Diagram 1: Scooter in upright position. Diagram 2: Scooter folded.] Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your electric scooter. Cleaning and Storage: If the scooter is dirty, wipe it clean with a soft damp cloth. Brake Adjustments & Service: If brake adjustments or service are needed, contact the GOTRAX customer service team. Do not attempt to repair the scooter yourself, as this can void your warranty and risk damaging the scooter. Tires: If tire pressure is low, inflate to the recommended PSI on the side of the tire. Recommended PSI: 50. DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive chemical solvents to clean the scooter, as they can severely damage its appearance and structure. Do not use a pressure washer, as it may also damage the electronics. Storage: When not in use, store the scooter in a dry and cool location. Avoid storing the scooter outdoors, as sun exposure can damage its appearance and wear down the battery and tires. Only use the approved GOTRAX power adapter to charge your scooter. Using other adapters may cause a risk of fire and damage to equipment. Improper disposal of used batteries can seriously pollute the environment. Please comply with local disposal regulations. Store your scooter and power adapter in conditions between -4°F and 122°F. Warning: Risk of Fire - No User Serviceable Parts. Prolonged exposure to UV Rays, Rain, and the Elements may damage enclosed materials. Store indoors when not in use. GOTRAX user manuals are frequently updated at GOTRAX.com.
