Know Your Coffee Maker

Familiarize yourself with the components of your coffee maker:

Before First Use

Ensure all accessories are present and undamaged. Fill the water tank to the MAX level and brew water several times without coffee powder. Discard the water. Clean and dry all detachable parts thoroughly.

Using Your Coffee Maker

1. Fill the water tank with drinking water, not exceeding the MAX level indicated on the water gauge.
2. Place the funnel correctly in the funnel support and insert the permanent filter.
3. Add coffee powder to the filter, adjusting the amount to your taste. Close the top cover.
4. Place the carafe onto the warming plate.
5. Plug in the power cord. Press the "Strength" button to adjust coffee thickness if desired.
6. Press the ON/OFF button to begin brewing. The indicator will turn red.
7. The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing ON/OFF.
8. Serve coffee after brewing is complete and dripping has stopped.
9. The warming plate keeps coffee warm for up to 40 minutes before automatic shut-off, but for optimal taste, serve immediately after brewing.
10. Always turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use.

Delay Function

Set a delayed start time for your coffee maker:

1. Press the PROGRAM button to set the current time.
2. Press PROGRAM again to enter the preset time state.
3. Use HR and MIN buttons to set the desired automatic start time.
4. Press the DELAY BREW button to activate the delay function.
5. The appliance will start brewing at the set time, indicated by a red LED.

You can cancel the automatic start by pressing ON/OFF.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Clean detachable parts in hot, sudsy water after each use.
• Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
• Wipe the warming plate with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Replace all parts and keep for next use.

Removing Mineral Deposits

Periodically clean mineral deposits using a descaling solution or a mixture of water and citric acid (100 parts water to 3 parts citric acid). Follow the descaling process outlined in the manual.

Hints for Great-Tasting Coffee

• Regularly clean the coffee maker.
• Always use fresh, cold water.
• Store unused coffee powder in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed.
• For best flavor, buy whole beans and grind them just before brewing.
• Do not reuse coffee powder or reheat coffee.
• Clean the coffee maker if oiliness occurs, which can be caused by over-extraction or heavily roasted beans.
