Installing the Retrofit Kit upgrades an iDimension Plus to the latest version.

A diagram shows the components of the iDimension Plus Retrofit Kit. These include:
- A square metal plate with various markings and screw holes.
- A rectangular scanning head unit.
- A smaller rectangular plate with a circular cutout.
- Several screws and an adapter for a DC power cable.

1.0 Removing the Existing Head
1. Remove the rear screws and back plate of the old scanning head with a Philips screwdriver.

2. Detach cable connections and power adapter. A diagram shows the back panel of the iDimension Plus device with various ports labeled: INPUT 24V 2.5A, ETHERNET, USB #3, SD CARD, HDMI, USB #1, USB P2. Cables are shown connected to some ports.
3. Locate the key holes at the top of the iDimension pole.
4. Loosen the mounting screws without removing them using a hex wrench from the hardware kit.

5. Lift to remove the old scanning head from the pole assembly.
IMPORTANT: Carefully thread the cables through the cable slot when removing the scanning head to prevent damage.
6. Replace the rear screws and back plate of the scanning head.
7. Discard the scanning head.
2.0 Reassembling the Unit
1. Thread the mounting screws into the new scanning head. Do not tighten. A diagram shows the new scanning head with mounting screws partially inserted into threaded holes.
2. Remove the rear screws and back plate of the scanning head. A diagram shows the back plate of the new scanning head with four screw locations circled.
3. Carefully thread the cables through the cable slot.
4. Line up, insert and lower the mounting screw heads inside the pole assembly key holes.
5. Tighten the mounting screws.
6. Place the adapter onto the power cable. A diagram shows a DC power adapter with a right-angle connector being attached to a power cable.
7. Attach the cable connections and power adapter (see Figure 9). A close-up image shows the back panel of the iDimension Plus with various cables, including power and network, connected to the ports.
8. Replace the back plate and rear screws.
