User Manual

Product Overview

This product is a solar trickle charger designed for 12V batteries. It helps manage battery drain throughout the seasons and is suitable for cars or any application using a 12-volt battery. Batteries naturally lose power, especially in cold conditions, and if allowed to become completely flat, may not regain their full capacity.

Please read these instructions thoroughly before installing the product and keep them for future reference.

Important Information

In some vehicles, the cigarette lighter socket may not operate when the ignition is off. In such cases, connect the charger directly to the battery using the provided alligator battery clamps and cable. The black lead indicates negative [-] and the red lead indicates positive [+]. Ensure correct terminal connection; consult your local garage if unsure.

Assembly / Location

  • Assemble the suction cups onto the charger.
  • Attach the charger to the inside or outside of the car windshield.
  • Connect the main cable to either the cigarette lighter socket or directly to the battery.
  • Alternatively, use the keyhole slots on the rear of the charger for wall mounting.

Operation

When sufficient sunlight is available, the charger will produce electrical current to trickle charge your battery. The charger is designed not to damage or over-charge your battery. A blocking diode prevents the charger from draining your battery. This charger is intended for topping up battery charge due to natural drainage and is not designed to recharge a fully discharged battery.

Warning

You must disconnect the charger from your cigarette lighter or battery when starting your engine or driving. Electrical surges from the car engine during starting and running can damage your charger.

Note

Some vehicles with tinted windows may significantly affect the charger's performance if it is positioned behind the tint. For optimal charging, place the unit outside the vehicle in direct sunlight.
