APP #143 | Rev 3.7.6
Introduction
This document provides instructions for the installation and startup of Yaskawa GA800 and A1000 Variable Speed Drives (VFDs). It covers both hardwired and Modbus configurations, along with key parameter settings and wiring diagrams.
Hardwired Diagrams and Settings
The following sections detail the hardwired connections and parameter settings for the Yaskawa GA800/A1000 drives.
GA800 / A1000 Hardwired Diagram
This diagram illustrates the typical wiring for the GA800/A1000 drive, including connections for power supply, control circuits, and various inputs/outputs. Key components include:
- Current Transformer
- Power Supply (120 VAC)
- Control Circuit Terminal Board
- Option Board Jumpers and Switches
- DIP Switches for configuration
- Analog Inputs (A1, A2, A3)
- Digital Inputs (B1-B8)
- Pulse Train Input
- Termination Switch for Modbus communication
Note: Contact closure across S1-SN activates the drive's RUN command. The drive will ramp up to the Lower Limit defined by D2-02 and be controlled by 0-10Vdc across A1-AC.
