Seitron NOVO Combustion Analyzer Quick Guide
This guide provides essential information for operating the Seitron NOVO Combustion Analyzer.
Product Overview
The Seitron NOVO is a combustion analyzer designed for flue gas analysis, calculating stack heat loss and efficiency, ambient CO measurement, and more. It is compliant with EN 50379-1 and EN 50379-2 standards.
Key Features:
- Flue gas analysis
- Calculating stack heat loss and efficiency
- Ambient CO measurement
- Measuring differential pressure
- Draft measurement
- Pressure measurement in the gas supply pipe
- Tightness test
- Black smoke test and average value calculation
- QR code display for downloading acquired measurements
- Ticket printing with measurement data (built-in or optional Bluetooth® printer)
Instrument Controls and Functions
The instrument features several controls for analysis and operation:
Control # | Description |
---|---|
1 | Configuration of the main analysis parameters. |
2 | Acquires current measure or starts the combustion analysis according to set parameters. |
3 | Displays TIME ELAPSED (time since last measure, running nº-: number of acquired measures) or TIME LEFT (time for next sample acquisition). Also shows LAST ANALYSIS date/time. |
4 | Puts the current combustion analysis on hold. |
5 | Interrupts the analysis and returns to the starting phase. |
6 | Stores the acquired measures. |
7 | Shows the QR code related to the performed analysis. |
8 | Starts the current analysis printing phase, based on home page settings. |
9 | Turns the smoke pump on/off. If the smoke pump is off, current measures refresh stops. |
Visual Description: The instrument display shows analysis screens with parameters like Combustible (e.g., Propane), O2 (e.g., 20.9%), CO2 (e.g., 50%), T GAS, T AIR, Q, NO, H2, H2S, and elapsed time indicators.
Warning
WARNING: The magnets on the back of the instrument can damage credit cards, hard drives, mechanical watches, pacemakers, defibrillators, and other devices sensitive to magnetic fields. It is recommended to keep the instrument at a distance of at least 25cm away from these devices.
Operation and Connections
The Seitron NOVO analyzer requires specific connections for operation:
- Smoke Probe (AJ SJ01): Connects to the instrument for gas sampling.
- Gas Inlet/Pressure Hose (AJ TB01): Used for pressure measurements.
- Accessory Connections (AJ KA02): For optional accessories or data transfer.
- Other Probes (AA SA08): Used for specific gas measurements.
Visual Description: A diagram illustrates the setup: the analyzer connected via hoses and cables to a smoke probe inserted into a flue, and potentially to a laptop (AJ KA02) for data management. Extension cords can be used, up to three with a total length of 3 meters each, between the inputs and the smoke probe.
Suggested connections are used for measures such as O2, various gases (CO, NO, SO₂, CxHy, NO₂, H₂, CO₂, NH₃), efficiency calculation, combustion analysis, and simultaneous measurement of gas pressure at the burner.
Powering On and Off
Instrument Condition | Action | Function |
---|---|---|
OFF (powered off) | Press and hold the key indicated by the arrow for a long time (> 3sec.). | The instrument powers on and starts the automatic auto-zero phase. |
ON (powered on) | Press and hold the key indicated by the arrow for a long time (> 3sec.). | The instrument turns off after completing the cleaning cycle for the set time. |
Note: At the first start, the instrument will guide the user step-by-step through the initial configuration.
Main Menus
The instrument's main menu provides access to various functions:
