Safety Precautions

- CPU: Intel® LGA2011-3 Processor Intel® Xeon™
- RAM: 8 DIMM slots supporting up to 256GB DDR4 2400/2133/1866MHz Non-ECC/ECC memory. Quad-Channel Memory Architecture. Actual memory data rate depends on CPU type and DRAM module.
- I/O effects: 6 x SATA 3.0 (max transfer speed up to 6GB/s), 4 x SSATA3.0, 4 x USB2.0 interface, 4 x USB3.0 interface, 1 x RTL8125BG Network card interface.
- Audio: Realtek Audio Transcoder, Realtek 7.1 Surround Sound High Definition Audio Codec. Audio output: Front Out/Front Speaker Out, Rear Speaker output, Center/Subwoofer output, Side Hom output. Audio input: Microphone input, Audio input.
- Ethernet: 2 x Realtek PCIe Gigabit LAN.

Motherboard Diagram

Rear I/O Panel
The rear I/O panel provides connectivity for peripherals and networking.

LAN Port Status Table: Indicates network connection status and speed (10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps) via LED indicators.
Audio Port Configuration: Details the function of each audio jack (Audio Input, Audio output/Front speaker output, Rear speaker output, Center/subwoofer output, Microphone input, Side speaker output).
Installation and Settings
General Installation Notes
- Ensure pins marked with '1' or a white bold line are correctly aligned.
- CPU Installation: Align the CPU with the LGA2011-3 socket, noting the alignment points and the golden triangle indicator for Pin 1.
- M.2 Interface Installation: Secure the M.2 module using the provided screws and standoffs.
- Memory Installation: Open the clips on the memory slot, align the memory module with the notch, and press down until the clips lock into place.
- Graphics Card Installation: Remove chassis slot covers, align the graphics card with the PCIe slot, insert firmly, and secure with screws. Connect power cables.
Front Panel Connectors
Connectors for power switch, reset switch, HDD LED, and power LED are located on the motherboard. Refer to the diagram for pin assignments (PWR_SW, RESET_SW, HDD_LED, PWR_LED).
USB Headers
Connectors for front panel USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports are available. Refer to the diagrams for pin assignments.

Intel Chip Information Installation
- Run "Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager".
- Right-click the hardware device and select "Update driver".
- Choose "Browse my computer for driver software" and select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
- Alternatively, select "Search automatically for drivers" if not connecting to the internet.
- Navigate to the driver directory and select "Next".
Audio Driver Installation
- Identify the audio chip model on the motherboard.
- Run the "driver installer" from the "X99-F8D PLUS SOUND CARD DRIVER" directory.
- Follow the on-screen prompts (e.g., "next", "finished"). The system may restart to complete the installation.
Audio Driver Uninstallation
- Go to Windows "Settings" > "Control Panel" > "Add/Remove Programs" (or "Programs and Features").
- Find and select "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver".
- Click "Remove" or "Uninstall" to remove the driver.
External Video Card Driver Installation
- Run the "Setup.exe" from the external graphics card driver directory.
- Follow the prompts (e.g., "next", "yes").
Network Driver Installation
- Run the "driver installer" from the "X99-F8D PLUS LAN DRIVER" directory.
- Follow the prompts (e.g., "next", "installation", "finished"). The system may restart to complete the installation.
BIOS Settings
The BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) allows configuration of various system functions. Access the AMI BIOS CMOS SETUP utility by pressing the "Delete/Del" key during POST (Power-On Self Test). The warm boot key is "F11", and the save key is "F10".
Main Menu Function
- Main: System Overview (Date/Time, HDD specs, Monitor type).
- Advanced: Advanced Settings (Virus alert, booting disk priority, etc.).
- Chipset: Advanced Chipset Settings.
- Boot: Boot Settings (Boot order).
- Security: Security Settings (BIOS password).
- Save: Save Setting (Save changes).
- Exit: Exit Options (Load optimized defaults, load fail-safe defaults, discard changes, exit without saving).
A triangle symbol next to a menu item indicates a sub-menu will appear upon selection.
