Product Overview
The LAMAX Sounder2 Play is a portable Bluetooth speaker designed for versatile audio playback. It supports Bluetooth, microSD card, and AUX inputs, and features TWS (True Wireless Stereo) functionality for pairing two speakers.
Controls and Functions
The speaker features several buttons for operation:
- POWER: Press and hold to turn the speaker on or off. A short press switches backlight modes.
- VOL +: Press to increase volume. Press and hold to play the next track.
- LAMAX PLAY: Press to play or pause music. Press and hold to activate the virtual assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant). Press to answer or end a call. Press and hold to reject a call. A long press powers the speaker off.
- VOL -: Press to decrease volume. Press and hold to play the previous track.
- MODE: Press to toggle between music sources: Bluetooth, microSD card, and AUX. A long press resets the speaker to factory settings.
- TWS: Press to turn TWS mode on or off. Press and hold to disconnect from a paired device.

- Microphone: Built-in for calls.

- MicroSD card slot: For playing music from a microSD card.
LED Indicators for Pairing
- Flashing blue: Speaker is ready for pairing.
- Solid blue: Speaker is paired.
- Flashing blue-white: Speaker is ready for TWS pairing.
Getting Started
Powering On/Off
To turn the speaker on, press and hold the POWER button. The LED will illuminate, and an audible signal will sound. To turn the speaker off, press and hold the POWER button again.
Pairing (Bluetooth)
- Turn on the speaker by pressing and holding the POWER button. The LED will flash blue, indicating it's ready to pair.
- On your phone or other device, activate Bluetooth. Select "LAMAX Sounder2 Play" from the list of available devices.
- Upon successful pairing, the speaker will emit a sound, and the LED will turn solid blue.
- If pairing fails, reset the speaker by holding the MODE button for 6 seconds, then repeat the pairing process.
TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing
To pair two LAMAX Sounder2 Play speakers:
- Turn on both speakers, ensuring they are not connected to any multimedia device.
- On the speaker you designate as the main unit, press the TWS button. You will hear an audio signal, and its LED will flash blue-white.
- The second speaker will then beep, its LED will turn solid blue, and it will automatically connect to the main speaker.
- Pair the main speaker with your multimedia device as described in the "Pairing" section. The main speaker will act as the left channel and handle call functions.
- To unpair the speakers, press the TWS button on the main speaker.
Note: Pairing with other LAMAX models via LAMAX BeatShare® is only possible when the Sounder2 Play is the main speaker.
Switching Music Sources
Press the MODE button to cycle through Bluetooth, microSD card, and AUX sources. Connecting a microSD card or a 3.5mm audio cable will automatically switch the speaker to the respective mode. When using the AUX input, song control is not available directly on the speaker.
Charging
Charging Indicators:
- Flashing red: Battery is low.
- Solid red: Speaker is charging.
- LED off: Speaker is fully charged.
Charge the speaker using the included USB cable connected to a suitable USB power source (adapter, PC, power bank). Do not use an input voltage or current higher than 5V / 2A to prevent damage.
