How the System Works
The eufy Video Doorbell C31 can operate independently, connecting to your home wireless router. Notifications can be received via a traditional doorbell chime, a separate eufy Security chime, or an Amazon Alexa Echo Show device. It can also work with eufy Security HomeBase (sold separately) for video clip storage.
Charging the Battery Pack
Remove the battery pack, fully charge it using the USB-C cable, and then reinsert it into the doorbell.
Setting Up the System
Download and install the eufy Security app, create an account, and follow the in-app instructions to add the video doorbell.
Determining the Power Option
Choose between Battery Powered (for locations without existing wiring) or Wire Powered (utilizing existing doorbell wires for continuous power). Battery life varies with usage.
Doorbell Mounting
Detailed instructions are provided for mounting the bracket on wooden or hard walls, with options for using a 15° mounting wedge for angle adjustment. Ensure proper placement for optimal field of view and night vision.
Connecting the Wires to the Doorbell (Wire Powered)
Connect wires to the terminals on the back of the doorbell. Use extension wires if needed and ensure wires do not touch to prevent short-circuiting. Always shut off power at the circuit breaker before handling wires.
