Do not let cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Before using, ensure that the voltage specified complies with your home's voltage. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs or unit in water or other liquids. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Do not let cord touch hot surfaces. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. Do not use for other than intended use. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or when the appliance malfunctions. The use of accessory attachments not recommended or sold by appliance manufacturer may cause hazards. The food volume should not exceed the maximum capacity (250ml/8.5oz) of the stainless steel cup. The temperature for stirring the food should not exceed 176F. The product is equipped with a safety lock feature. When the stainless steel cup is incorrectly installed, the electric milkshake maker will not work. It is highly recommended to only fill the cup halfway to avoid spillage. 3 Ensure that the electricity supply is connected. 4 When the cup is correctly placed in the safety switch rod, set control switch to preferred speed in order to start the process. You can start with Speed 1 (LOW) then increase to Speed 2 (HIGH). 5 For hard ice cream or very thick shakes, remove the container from the base then support it with your hand. Make sure that the cup is still touching the safety switch rod while you're holding it, because the unit will not operate if the cup is not connected to it. With the spindle still submerged in the mixture, move the container around for more thorough mixing. 6 During the mixing process, do not add raw ingredients into the cup; only add raw ingredients after the electricity supply has been cut off and the machine has stopped working. 7 When finished, turn the unit off. 7 8 Pour contents from container and serve. TIPS AND TRICKS Most drinks can be mixed in less than two minutes. Whole fruits should not be used when making fruit drinks. Mash or puree fruit; add to drink, and mix. The cup must always be filled to at least the minimum level mark (150ml/50z) or the liquid will not reach the spindle. When mixing thin mixtures, such as powdered diet drinks, do not fill above maximum level mark (250ml/8.5oz) or liquid may overflow. For best results, all liquid ingredients should be as cold as possible. Milk drinks will taste best if milk is ice cold. The colder the milk, the thicker and more frothy the drink. All syrups and powdered mixes should be added just before mixing to prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the container. PEANUT BUTTER & PRETZEL MILKSHAKE 1 / cups of vanilla ice cream ½ cup of milk 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter ¼ cup finely crushed pretzels *optional ~ whipped cream to top *optional ~ chocolate sauce to line the glass INSTRUCTIONS 1 Combine the ice cream, milk and peanut butter in the cup and mix until smooth. 2 Line glass with chocolate sauce if desired, and pour milkshake into glass. 3 Top with whipped cream and crushed pretzels. 9 ovente.com CARE & MAINTENANCE Unplug the electric milkshake maker. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning. Use water to clean the parts with food contact after using it. Install the mixing shaft and spindle properly to prevent malfunction or injuries. Put warm water into the cup when cleaning. Press the switch on for about 10 seconds to clean the cup. Do not immerse the electric milkshake maker in water. Electric milkshake maker is not dishwasher-safe. A soft, wet cloth can be used to clean the outside of the electric milkshake maker; do not immerse it in the water. Do not use an abrasive brush, alcohol, etc. when cleaning the electric milkshake maker.
