3. LCD Displays / Symbols

Display Size: 2.8"

Display Resolution: 320 (vertical) × 240 (horizontal)

The LCD displays various information including temperature readings, date, time, battery status, and measurement modes. Key indicators include:

4. Power On/Off

To turn on the product, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds. If the product is not used for a long time or if the measurement environment changes, turn on the product and wait 20 minutes before measuring.

To turn off the product, press and hold the Power button for 5 to 6 seconds. Please do not turn it on and off repeatedly.

5. Measurement

From the main interface, press the "Settings" button to access the main menu. Press the "Left/Right" buttons to select "Measurement", and press the "Settings" button to enter the submenu. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select the center point/Hi/Lo point/ROI, and press the "Settings" button to add the point to the main interface. Press the "Left/Right/Up/Down" buttons to move the point and press the "Settings" button to confirm. The spot temperature will be displayed on the screen. Press the "Settings" button again to close the point. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

6. Palette

From the main interface, press the "Settings" button to access the main menu. Press the "Left/Right" buttons to select "Palette", and press the "Settings" button to enter the submenu. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select a palette. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

7. Spot Temperature

From the main interface, press the "Settings" button to access the main menu. Press the "Left/Right" buttons to select "Spot Temperature", and press the "Settings" button to enter the submenu. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select a point, and press the "Settings" button to add the point to the main interface. Press the "Left/Right/Up/Down" buttons to move the point and press the "Settings" button to confirm. The spot temperature will be displayed on the screen. Press the "Settings" button again to close the point. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

8. Settings

From the main interface, press the "Settings" button to access the main menu. Press the "Left/Right" buttons to select "Settings", and press the "Settings" button to enter the submenu. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select an option in the submenu, and press the "Settings" button to enter the settings interface. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

8.1 Language

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Language", and press the "Settings" button to enter the language interface. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select English/German/French/Spanish/Swedish/Italian, and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

8.2 Date and Time

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Date and Time", and press the "Settings" button to enter its interface. Press the "Left/Right" buttons to select the time format/year/month/day/hour/minute, and press the "Settings" button to set the selected value. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to increase or decrease the value, and press the "Settings" button to save the modified value. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

8.3 Temperature Unit

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Temperature Unit", and press the "Settings" button to enter the settings interface. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "°C/°F", and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

8.4 HI/LO-Alarm

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "HI/LO-Alarm", and press the "Settings" button to enter the alarm settings interface. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "On/Off". Press the "Settings" button to set the alarm value. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to increase/decrease the value. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface. If the HI/LO alarm function is activated, an alarm will be issued when the temperature exceeds the set range.

8.5 Temperature Scale

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Temperature Scale", and press the "Settings" button to enter the scale settings interface. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "High-gain/Low-gain", and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface. Note: It takes 30 to 40 seconds to switch between low-gain and high-gain.

8.6 Display Brightness

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Display Brightness", and press the "Settings" button to enter the brightness settings interface. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Low/Medium/High", and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

8.7 Auto Power Off

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Auto Power Off", and press the "Settings" button to enter its settings interface. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "5 Minutes/10 Minutes/30 Minutes/Off", and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

8.8 USB Mode

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "USB Mode", and press the "Settings" button to enter its settings interface. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "USB Disk" or "USB Camera", and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

USB Disk: Connect the product to the PC to view images and analyze data.

USB Camera: Connect the product to the PC to realize real-time image projection.

8.9 Measurements

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Measurements", and press the "Settings" button to enter its settings interface. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Emissivity/Ambient Temperature/Distance", and press the "Settings" button to set the selected parameters. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to increase/decrease the value, and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

Note: For emissivity values of common materials, see the table in the appendix.

8.10 System Settings

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "System Settings", and press the "Settings" button to enter its settings interface. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Device Information/Factory Reset/Format SD Card/Auto Save", and press the "Settings" button to enter the submenu. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

8.10.1 Device Information

From the settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Device Information", and press the "Settings" button to enter its submenu. Information on "Model Version/Capacity/Free" can be displayed. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface.

8.10.2 Factory Reset

From the system settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Factory Reset", and press the "Settings" button to enter its submenu. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Yes/No", and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface. Note: Do not perform any other operations while restoring the factory settings.

8.10.3 Format SD Card

From the system settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Format SD Card", and press the "Settings" button to enter its submenu. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Yes/No", and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface. Note: When formatting, please do not remove the SD card or perform any other operations.

8.10.4 Auto Save

From the system settings interface, press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Auto Save", and press the "Settings" button to enter its submenu. Press the "Up/Down" buttons to select "Yes/No", and press the "Settings" button to confirm. Press the "Back" button to return to the previous interface. Note: Please do not remove or insert the SD card while saving or viewing images. The number of saved images should not exceed 1000. Please clean the SD card when more than 1000 images are saved.

9. Temperature Compensation and Calibration

Temperature compensation is available to adapt to different environments and locations. For specific setting methods, see Section 8.9 Measurements. To improve measurement stability, manual calibration can be performed. Press the "Back" button on the main interface for calibration.

10. Display Image

Press the "Display Image" button to display the images. Press the "Up/Down/Left/Right" buttons to select an image, and press the "Settings" button to display the image. Press the "Settings" button again to display the image information and delete the images. Note: Please do not remove or insert the SD card while viewing images.

11. Image Capture

Press the trigger to capture an image. Press the "Left/Right" buttons to save or not, and press the "Settings" button to confirm or recall the selected "Back" button. In Auto Save mode, images are automatically saved to the SD card. Note: Images can only be saved if an SD card is inserted.

12. Flashlight

Press and hold the flashlight for 3 seconds to turn the flashlight on/off. When the temperature alarm is activated and the measured temperature exceeds the set temperature range, the LED light will flash. Note: When the LED light is on, please do not point it at the eyes of people or animals.

13. USB Communication and Image Projection

  1. Download and install the UTi-Live Screen Software and Real-time Image Projection PC software.
  2. Refer to "Section 8.8 USB Mode" to select USB Disk. Connect the product to the PC. Users can view images and analyze data in the PC software.
  3. Refer to "Section 8.8 USB Mode" to select USB Camera. Connect the product to the PC. The real-time image projection function can be activated in the real-time image projection software.
  4. For operating the PC software, refer to the software user manual from the help option on the main interface.

Note: Please do not remove the USB cable during image projection. Please close the PC software before removing the USB cable.

14. SD Card

This device supports Micro SD Card (TF Card) for storing images. To avoid affecting the operating speed of the device, please regularly copy backup data and clean the SD card in time. To prevent the occurrence of erroneous data on the SD card, do not repeatedly insert or remove the SD card.

15. Charging

For charging, please use a safety-certified power adapter 5V/1A or 5V/2A. Note: Please do not turn off the product during charging. If shutdown or restart is required, please remove the Type-C power cable and disconnect the power supply first.

16. Maintenance

Use a damp cloth or a mild soapy solution to clean the exterior of the device. When cleaning the exterior, lens, or window, do not use abrasive cleaners, isopropyl alcohol, or solvents.

17. Warnings

To ensure accuracy, please read the instructions carefully before use. Do not use the product in flammable, explosive, steamy, wet, or corrosive environments. Do not use the product if it is damaged, dropped, or modified to avoid inaccurate measurement results.

  1. Please try to hold the device stably and avoid severe shocks during use.
  2. Please do not use or store the device at temperatures higher than the operating or storage temperature.
  3. Please do not point the thermal imaging camera at high-intensity radiation sources such as the sun, carbon dioxide lasers, or arc welding equipment, etc.
  4. Please do not block the device's ventilation holes.
  5. Please do not push, shake, or throw the device and accessories to avoid damage.
  6. Do not disassemble the device yourself, as this may cause damage and loss of warranty rights.
  7. Do not use flammable or similar liquids for the device and cables, as this may cause damage to the device.
  8. Do not use the device at temperatures higher than the operating temperature, as this may cause damage.
  9. Please observe the following measures when wiping the device:
    • For a non-optical surface, use a clean, soft cloth to wipe the non-optical surface of the thermal imaging camera if necessary.
    • For an optical surface, avoid contaminating the optical surface of the lens when using the thermal imaging camera, and especially avoid touching the lens with your hands, as sweat stains on your hands can leave marks on the lens glass and the optical coating on the glass surface may be corroded by surface contamination. Therefore, wipe it carefully with special lens paper.
  10. Do not place the battery in a high-temperature environment or near objects with high temperatures.
  11. Do not short-circuit the positive and negative poles of the battery.
  12. Do not place the battery in a humid environment or in water.
  13. Do not expose the device to dust or humid environments. When using in a watery environment, avoid splashing water onto the instrument.
  14. When the device is not in use, please place it in a special packaging box along with all accessories.
  15. Avoid using the included SD card for other purposes.
  16. The graphical information of the goods used in the product introduction may differ in materials and details from the actual products due to different batches. Please understand and refer to the physical objects.

18. Usage Notes

Please use the correct emissivity for accurate temperature readings. To ensure product accuracy, please warm it up for 20 minutes before measuring if used for a long time.
