04 HOW TO USE
4.1 Usage Modes
This product offers two power supply options:
4.1.1 Plug it in
When plugged in, the device supports both continuous and intermittent water dispensing modes. After connecting via Bluetooth, you can switch between modes and pause dispensing using the PETKIT App.
Note: The device will automatically resume operation after a 10-minute pause to ensure water is always available.
- Remove the control module, open the silicone plug, and insert the power cord into the power input at the bottom of the control module.
- Vertically insert the control module back into its base and plug it in.
- Press the button on the control module to switch water dispensing modes.
Status Indicator Light (Top of Main Unit):
- Normal Mode: Solid blue light indicates continuous water flow.
- Intermittent Mode: Solid green light indicates intermittent flow. Water dispensing frequency can be customized in the App (default: 3 minutes dispensing, 3 minutes pause).
4.1.2 Unplug (powered by built-in battery)
When unplugged, the device operates on its built-in battery. In battery mode, switching water outlet modes is not available. The default setting dispenses water for 25 seconds every hour. Battery life is affected by dispensing frequency, which can be adjusted in the App's energy management settings.
- Remove the control module and plug the power cord into its connector to charge the control module.
- A solid blue or green light indicates full charging. Unplug the cord, cover the silicone plug, and reinsert the control module into the base.
Indicator Status:
- Fully Charged: The status indicator light is solid.
- Low battery: The indicator light flashes red. Plug in to charge the control module.
Note: To preserve battery life, water is pumped for 25 seconds per hour by default in battery mode. Water dispense frequency can be set in the PETKIT App's “Energy management” section. Frequent pumping may shorten battery life. Software optimizations may occur.
4.2 Indicator Description
The device features indicator lights on the control module:
- Filter Indicator: Flashing red indicates the filter needs replacement. Reset the indicator in the App after replacement.
- Water Shortage Indicator: Flashing red indicates low water level. The indicator will turn off after refilling the water.
Status Indicator Light Meanings:
- Plug in: Solid blue or green light indicates full charge. Flashing blue or green indicates charging. (Light color depends on dispensing mode.)
- Unplug: The green light stays on for 15 seconds and then turns off, extending working time.
- Low battery: The indicator light flashes red.
- Main Unit Failure: The light flashes blue and green alternately.
Note: When the control module is removed, the filter and water shortage indicators will be solid red. They will turn off once the control module is reassembled.
