This manual provides instructions for setting up, pairing, locating, and safely using your ESR HaloLock Geo Wallet Stand.
Product Overview
The ESR HaloLock Geo Wallet Stand is designed to securely hold your cards and attach magnetically to compatible iPhones, integrating with Apple's Find My network.
Key Components:
- 1. Card holder: Securely stores your cards.
- 2. Charging status light: Indicates charging status.
- 3. Power button: Used for turning the device on/off and factory reset.
- 4. Charging port: For connecting the charging cable.
Setting Up Your iPhone for Find My
To use the Find My feature, ensure your iPhone meets the following requirements and settings:
Compatibility:
- iPhone 12 series or later.
- Running iOS 14.5 or later.
- Two-Factor Authentication enabled for your Apple ID.
Configuration Steps:
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication:
- On iPhone: Settings > [Your Name] > Password & Security > Turn On Two-Factor Authentication.
- On Mac: Apple menu > System Settings (or System Preferences) > [Your Name/Apple ID] > Password & Security > Turn On.
- On Web: Visit appleid.apple.com, sign in, answer security questions, and follow prompts to update account security.
- Enable Find My:
- On iPhone: Settings > [Your Name] > Find My > Turn on Find My iPhone.
- Enable Bluetooth.
- Connect to a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network.
- Enable Location Services:
- On iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Turn on Location Services.
Getting Started with Your Wallet Stand
Powering On/Off:
- Power On: Press the power button once. A beep indicates it is on.
- Power Off: Hold the power button for at least 3 seconds. A beep indicates it is off. Note: The device's location cannot be found when powered off. If not paired within 10 minutes, it will auto-power off with a beep. Power on again to continue pairing.
Factory Reset:
Quick-press the power button 4 times, then long-press for at least 3 seconds. A beep confirms the reset.
Pairing Your Wallet Stand
- Ensure your iPhone is set up as described above and your Wallet Stand is powered on.
- Open the Find My app on your iPhone.
- Navigate to the Items tab and tap Add New Item.
- Tap Other Supported Item. Your iPhone will search for the Wallet Stand.
- Once detected, tap Connect.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to name your Wallet Stand and register it to your Apple ID.
- Verify that your Wallet Stand appears in the Items list. If not, forget the device in the Find My app, perform a factory reset on the Wallet Stand, and reconnect.
Important: Do not leave the Find My app while pairing.
Locating Your Wallet Stand
Locate via Map:
- Open the Find My app.
- Tap the Items tab.
- Select your Wallet Stand from the list.
- Tap Directions to open its location in the Maps app.
Play Sound Alert:
This feature plays a sound from the Wallet Stand to help you find it.
- Open the Find My app.
- Tap the Items tab.
- Select your Wallet Stand and tap Play Sound.
Note: The sound alert plays only if your iPhone is connected to a network and the Wallet Stand is within Bluetooth range (approx. 160 ft / 50 m).
Set Up "Notify When Left Behind":
Receive a notification if you leave your Wallet Stand behind.
- Open the Find My app.
- Tap the Items tab.
- Select your Wallet Stand and scroll down.
- Under Notifications, tap Notify When Left Behind and turn it on.
Mark Your Wallet Stand as Lost:
Activate Lost Mode to protect your item and provide contact information.
- Open the Find My app.
- Tap the Items tab.
- Select your Wallet Stand and scroll down.
- Ensure Notify When Left Behind is turned on.
- Under Lost Mode, tap Enable, then tap Continue.
- Enter your phone number or email address so a finder can contact you, then tap Activate.
Changing the Name of Your Wallet Stand
- Open the Find My app and tap the Items tab.
- Select your Wallet Stand from the list.
- Scroll down and tap Rename Item.
- Choose a name from the list or select Custom Name.
- For a custom name, input your desired name and select an emoji.
- Tap Done.
Removing Your Wallet Stand
Removing the Wallet Stand from your Apple ID allows another person to use it.
- Ensure your Wallet Stand is connected to your iPhone.
- Open the Find My app.
- In the Items tab, tap your Wallet Stand.
- Tap Remove Item, then tap Remove and confirm.
If not connected when removing, it will no longer be discoverable and requires a factory reset before re-pairing.
Unwanted Tracking Notification
If your Wallet Stand is separated from your iPhone and detected moving with another person's Apple device over time, that person will receive a tracking alert message.
Safety Warnings
- Do not expose the device to temperatures below -10°C (14°F) or above 35°C (95°F).
- Do not expose to open flame, submerge in water, or expose to rain, as this will damage the device.
- Always check for damage to the device, cables, or accessories before use. Do not use if damaged.
- Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or use sharp objects to damage the device, as this may cause serious damage and void the warranty.
- Do not expose to corrosive liquids or high humidity, as they will seriously damage the device and void the warranty.
Charging Your Wallet Stand
- Use the included charging cable.
- The status light will be orange during charging.
- The status light will turn green when fully charged.
- It is recommended to fully charge your Wallet Stand once every 3 months.
