2. Fit and Secure
Step 2.1: Fit the Spacers (Item 6) and Washer Plate (Item 5) to the Main Rail (Item 1) using M6 x 30 Button Head Bolts (Item 7) and M6 Nyloc Nuts (Item 8). Fully tighten. Perform this on both front and rear fixing points on both left and right hand side rails. Tightening Torque: M6: 8-10Nm / 5.9-7.38 ft lb.
Step 2.2: Insert the M8 V Bolts (Item 9) around the four accessory ports on your load bed as shown.
Step 2.3: Place the Main Rail (Item 1) assembled in step 2.1 over the accessory ports on your load bed and insert the M8 V Bolt (Item 9) through the Main Rail as shown.
Step 2.1 (cont.): Thread the M8 Nyloc Nuts (Item 10) onto the M8 V Bolts and tighten equally, alternating between the two nuts. Check the alignment of the plastic spacers over the accessory ports and center before fully tightening. Perform this on both left and right hand sides. Tightening Torque: M8: 15-20Nm / 11.06-14.75 ft lb.
Step 2.2 (cont.): Assemble the Legs (Item 11) to the Main Rail (Item 1) using M8 x 25 Button Head Bolts (Item 12) and M8 Nyloc Nuts (Item 10) as shown. Fully tighten. - 4 X Side Profile

Tools Needed:
- 4mm Allen Wrench
- 5mm Allen Wrench
Diagram (Figure 1.1): An exploded view of the Slimline II Tray components, labeled with numbers 1 through 10.
2. Rack Assembly - Side Profiles
NOTE: Skip this step if your Slimline II Tray is 1560mm or shorter; you will only have two Side Profiles and assembly is not required.
If you have received four lengths of Side Profile (Item 5), join them using the Joiner Pieces (Items 3 & 4) to form two lengths. The joints in the Side Profile will be diagonally opposite each other once the Tray is assembled (except for the 2772mm length).
Diagrams: Illustrate the T-slot channel, U-channel, joiner holes on Side Profiles, and the process of inserting joiner pieces and fastening with bolts and nuts.
Step 2.2: Insert a Thick Joiner (Item 3) into the U-Channel of a Side Profile. Take a Thin Joiner (Item 4) and Nyloc Nut (Item 1), slide them into the T-slot. Fasten loosely with an M8 x 45 Button Head Bolt (Item 2) and a 5mm Allen Wrench. Slide the matching Side Profile over the joiner pieces, insert a Nyloc Nut, and fasten again with an M8 x 45 Button Head Bolt. Repeat for the other side.
3. Rack Assembly - Combined Slats and Standard Slats
Step 3.1: Ensure Nyloc Nuts are in the end pockets of Combined Slats (Item 7) and Standard Slats (Item 9).
Step 3.2: Turn the Combined Slat (Item 7) upside down. Slide it into the Side Profile assembly and align holes. Loosely tighten with an M8 x 25 Button Head Bolt (Item 8) and 5mm Allen Wrench. Repeat for the second Combined Slat.
Step 3.3: Take a Standard Slat (Item 9), slide one end into the Side Profile assembly, ensuring the nut is at the bottom. Loosely fasten with an M8 x 25 Button Head Bolt (Item 8). Repeat for remaining Standard Slats, leaving an open hole in the Side Profile between each slat.
Take the other Side Profile Assembly and slide it over the ends of the slats, aligning holes and loosely inserting M8 x 25 Button Heads.
3.4. Squaring the Rack
Square the Side Profiles and Slats before fully tightening. Measure diagonally from corner to corner; measurements should be equal. Fully tighten all M8 x 25 Button Head Bolts. Recommended torque: 20 Nm or 15 ft lb.
4. Rack Assembly - Corners
Step 4.1: Flip the tray right side up. Push a Corner (Item 6) into position, aligning its hole with the Rivnut in the Combined Slat. Use an M6 x 12 Button Head Bolt (Item 10) and fasten the Corner. Note: If attaching accessories later, you may omit corners initially.
5. Rack Assembly - Wind Deflector
In the Box: Slimline II Tray, M8 Half Nut, Wind Deflector (1LH + 1RH), Schnorr Washer, M8 x 12 Button Head Bolt.
Tools Needed: 5mm Allen Wrench.
Diagram (Figure 1.2): Shows Wind Deflector components.
Note: Wind Deflector mounts to the underside of the front Combined Slat. If fitting legs/feet, slide the M8 bolt for them into the machined slots first.
Step 6.1: Ensure Slimline II Tray is upside down (check product sticker).
Step 6.2: Insert M8 bolts, Half Nuts, and Schnorr Washers (Items 2, 4, 5) into the Combined Slat, sliding them to the center, ensuring the Schnorr Washer is above the T-slot Channel.
Step 6.3: Assemble Items 2, 4, & 5 to both LH & RH Wind Deflectors (Item 3).
Step 6.4: Insert the assembled nut into the Wind Deflector's Combined Slat T-slot pocket and slide to the side. Repeat for the other half.
Step 6.5: Center the Wind Deflector and move bolt assemblies into the slots. Tighten with a 5mm Allen Wrench.
NOTE: After fitting to the vehicle, test drive. If wind noise is excessive, try moving the two Wind Deflectors slightly apart (20-30mm gap).
USEFULL TIP - PRE-LOAD TIE DOWN RINGS: It is useful to fit Tie-Down Rings (RRAC012) to your rack for future accessory mounting. Insert them into the center machined slots.
7. Check Your Vehicle Installation Guide
Once the Slimline II Tray is assembled, get your Rack Kit Installation Guide and follow the vehicle-specific instructions for fitting it to your vehicle.
8. How to Care for Your Front Runner Gear
Whether you prefer your gear dirty or clean, Front Runner gear is built to last. To maintain functionality, give your gear a bath occasionally.
