(B) Installation Steps: Male Connector of BMCWPM2MS-COLOR-X-SET
Follow these steps to assemble the male connector:
Check the parts included in the modular kit. The kit contains all necessary components except the terminals themselves.
Visual Description: A layout of the various components: blue housing halves, black seal rings, metal fixing sheets, M4 and M6 screws, M4 nuts, and M4/M6 spring washers.
Insert the crimped terminal through the black seal ring. Position the seal ring onto the wire insulator, ensuring it is snug against the terminal barrel.
Visual Description: A close-up view showing a wire with a crimped terminal being threaded through a black seal ring, and the seal ring being slid onto the wire's plastic insulator.
Place the prepared terminal (with seal ring) into the intended cavity within one half of the blue connector housing.
Visual Description: A blue connector housing half with a terminal already inserted into its designated slot.
Push the black seal ring further into the housing cavity. Ensure the edge of the seal ring is aligned flush with the bottom edge of the housing cavity.
Visual Description: A blue connector housing half with the black seal ring being pressed into its cavity, aligning its outer edge with the housing's base.
Install the second terminal into the other half of the blue connector housing using the same procedure.
Visual Description: Two blue connector housing halves, each now containing a terminal and its seal ring.
Place an M4 nut into the designated recess on the housing. Press the nut gently with fingers to seat it. Turn the housing over to prepare for the next screwing operation.
Visual Description: An M4 nut being placed into a hexagonal recess on the outside of the blue housing, and then pressed in by hand.
Position the first metal fixing sheet onto its intended location on the housing. Place an M4 spring washer onto the screw hole of the fixing sheet.
Visual Description: A metal fixing sheet is placed on top of the joined housing halves, and an M4 spring washer is placed over the corresponding hole.
Insert an M4 screw through the spring washer, the fixing sheet, and the housing. Align the screw with the M4 nut on the opposite side and use a screwdriver to fasten it securely.
Visual Description: An M4 screw is driven through the stacked components (washer, sheet, housing) and into the pre-seated M4 nut. A screwdriver is shown tightening the screw.
Place the second metal fixing sheet onto the opposite side of the housing, aligning it with the first sheet. Place an M6 spring washer onto the central hole of this second fixing sheet.
Visual Description: The second metal fixing sheet is positioned on the other side of the housing, and an M6 spring washer is placed on its central hole.
Insert an M6 screw through the M6 spring washer and into the thread of the fixing sheet. Use a screwdriver to fasten it securely.
Visual Description: An M6 screw is driven through the M6 spring washer and into the second fixing sheet, securing it to the housing. A screwdriver is shown tightening the screw.
The completed male connector assembly is now finished.
Visual Description: The fully assembled male connector, showing the two blue housing halves securely joined by the metal fixing sheets and screws.
(C) Installation Steps: Female Connector of BMCWPF2MS-COLOR-X-SET
Follow these steps to assemble the female connector:
Check the parts included in the modular kit. The kit contains all necessary components except the terminals themselves.
Visual Description: A layout of the various components for the female connector, similar to the male connector kit but with female terminals.
Refer to the installation steps detailed for the male connector (Section B) for the assembly process. The procedure is identical, using the female terminals.
The completed female connector assembly is now finished.
Visual Description: The fully assembled female connector, mirroring the structure of the male connector.
(D) Installation Steps: Mate the Male and Female Connectors
Connect the assembled male and female connectors:
Align the completed male connector with the completed female connector. Bring them together to mate the pair of connectors at the intended connection point.
Visual Description: The assembled male connector and the assembled female connector are shown separately, then brought together, aligning their mating surfaces.
Turn the handles of the male connector to the locked position. This action hooks the female connector securely, completing the installation.
Visual Description: The locking handles on the male connector are moved into place, securing the connection with the female connector. The final mated and locked state is shown.
