Control Locations

The radio display features the following functions and displays:

Main Menu

In the main menu, press the desired icon to enter the corresponding mode: Radio, Bluetooth, USB, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, AUX IN, or Settings.

UI elements shown: Messages ✉️, Phone ?, Music ?, Calendars ?, Settings ⚙️.

Bluetooth Operation

Before using Bluetooth

Before you can use a Bluetooth device for hands-free calls or audio streaming, it must be authenticated. This process is also referred to as "pairing" a device.

Pairing a New Device

The unit broadcasts the pairing signal constantly when no devices are connected. Complete the pairing sequence from your Bluetooth device. The unit can be in any operation mode during pairing. After 3 minutes of enabling the pairing function, other devices cannot search for this unit, but the unit can search for other devices.

Connect

The head unit will automatically connect to the last connected device if the "Connect" feature is set to "Auto connect On". If set to "Auto Connect Off", it will not automatically connect.

Bluetooth Phone

From the main menu, touch the Bluetooth icon ?. The Bluetooth icon will appear when a Bluetooth device is connected.

General Operation

From the Main Menu screen, select Setup ⚙️ to access the Settings menu. Adjust options in categories represented by icons: General, Audio, Display, Others.

Settings options shown: Brightness, Dimmer Mode, Date and Time, Screen Background, Reset Display settings, Sync GPS Time, Volume adjustment.

USB Operation

From the main menu, touch the USB icon ?. Controls include:

Apple CarPlay Operation

Connect your iPhone to the USB port. Touch OK on your phone when the pop-up message appears to allow interface accessories. The Apple CarPlay icon ? will then be enabled on the main menu.

Requirements

Phone Setup (Before you begin)

  1. Apple CarPlay features may operate differently than on your Apple iPhone.
  2. Message and data charges may apply. Check with your mobile carrier.
  3. If experiencing performance issues: Close all apps, restart them, or disconnect/reconnect your phone using the provided Apple Lightning cable.
  4. When Apple CarPlay is active, your in-vehicle voice recognition is disabled; use Siri® for requests.
  5. Ensure Siri is turned ON in your phone: Settings > General > Siri.
  6. On your phone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay to adjust icon position or delete icons.

Voice Commands: Apple CarPlay uses Siri for messages, calls, and navigation. Initiate Siri by touching and holding the Home icon on the CarPlay screen or pressing the Voice button on the panel/steering wheel. Example commands: "Text 'Call you later'", "Read text messages", "Call ", "Find ".

Android Auto Operation

Connect your phone to the USB port. Touch OK on your phone when the pop-up message appears to allow interface accessories. The Android Auto icon ? will then be enabled on the main menu.

Android Auto Setup

When first using the function, stop your vehicle safely. Your phone will prompt you to download the Android Auto app and other necessary apps.

If Android Auto cannot connect, please check your Android Phone when it is safe to do so.

Android Auto uses Google voice actions. Initiate a session by touching the Microphone icon ? on any screen or pressing the Voice Recognition Button on the panel or steering wheel.

Phone Setup (Before you begin)

Overview: Android Auto organizes recent actions and information into simple cards on the Home screen. Touching a card takes you to the app.

Audio Operation

Press the "Settings" icon ⚙️ on the main menu screen to adjust Balance and Equalizer controls (16-Band Tone Control and 8 Presets EQ Settings).

Fuse Information: When replacing a fuse, use the correct type and amperage. The unit uses one 15 amp ATC mini-style fuse located on the power connector. ⚡
