Key Features

Getting Started

1. Unpacking: Ensure all components are present: radio unit, antenna, battery pack, charger, belt clip, and user manual.

2. Charging the Battery: Attach the battery pack to the radio. Place the radio with the attached battery into the charging cradle. Connect the adapter to the cradle and plug it into a power outlet. The charging indicator light will turn red while charging and green when fully charged.

3. Attaching the Antenna: Screw the antenna securely onto the top of the radio.

4. Powering On/Off: Press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button and the side button 1 simultaneously to power the radio on or off.

Basic Operation

5. Selecting Bands (VFO/MR Mode): Press the MENU button, navigate to option 1 (VFO/MR), and press MENU again. Use the Up/Down keys to select VFO (Frequency Mode) or MR (Channel Mode), then press MENU to confirm.

6. Changing Frequencies (VFO Mode): In VFO mode, use the keypad to directly enter the desired frequency. Alternatively, use the Up/Down keys to scan through frequencies.

7. Selecting Channels (MR Mode): In MR mode, use the Up/Down keys or the rotary dial to select the desired memory channel.

8. Transmitting: Press and hold the PTT button. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive.

9. Receiving: The radio will automatically receive signals when the PTT button is not pressed.

Advanced Features

10. Menu Navigation: Press the MENU button to enter the menu. Use the Up/Down keys to scroll through options and the MENU button to select an option. Press EXIT to return to the previous screen or exit the menu.

11. Scan Function: Press the SCAN button (often Side Key 2) to initiate scanning. The radio will scan through frequencies or memory channels based on the current mode and settings.
