Product Overview
The JJC BTR-S1 Wireless Remote Control is compatible with Bluetooth low energy technology, designed for select Sony cameras. It allows wireless control of your camera from approximately 10m/32.8' in any direction. The BTR-S1 can be used for shooting still images, recording video, adjusting camera focus, zooming, and activating the camera's C1 or AF-ON function.
A LOCK switch is included to disable all buttons, preventing unintentional operations. The remote is portable, powered by a CR2032 battery, and replaces the Sony RMT-P1BT remote commander.

Connecting the Remote Control and Camera
Before you start: Ensure the remote control's LOCK switch is in the position opposite to "LOCK".
- On the camera, select MENU → [Bluetooth Function] → [On] (or similar path depending on camera model).
- On the camera, select MENU → [Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl] → [On].
- On the camera, select MENU → [Bluetooth Settings] → [Pairing].
- On the remote control, press and hold the Shutter Release/Video Recording Button and the FOCUS/ZOOM Button (T button) simultaneously for at least 7 seconds.
- When a confirmation message appears on the camera's screen, select [OK]. When pairing is complete, a "Paired." message will appear.
Re-pairing is required if:
- You use the remote control with a different camera.
- The camera's network settings have been reset.
Preventing Unintentional Operations
To prevent accidental button presses while carrying the remote:
- Slide the LOCK switch to the "LOCK" position.
- To enable the buttons, slide the LOCK switch to the position opposite to "LOCK".
Warning
- Do not use batteries not specified in the manual.
- Do not insert batteries incorrectly.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the product.
- Keep batteries and small parts away from children. Seek medical attention if swallowed.
- Check regulations before using in airplanes or hospitals, as the product's electromagnetic waves may interfere with equipment.
- Adult supervision is required when children use the product.
- Do not expose the product to temperatures over 45°C (e.g., in a car).
- The product is not waterproof. Keep away from rain, snow, and high humidity.
- Do not clean with organic solvents or alcohol-based liquids.
