Douk Audio Little Bear MC102/MC1022 Manual
MAKE HI-FI AFFORDABLE
Introduction
The MC102 / MC1022 is a 2-IN-1-OUT / 1-IN-2-OUT audio selector designed for users with multiple audio sources and outputs. The A/B selector facilitates easy device selection and sound performance comparison.
It offers two selection modes to meet different needs:
- 2-IN-1-OUT: Suitable for debugging equipment and comparing audio sources.
- 1-IN-2-OUT: Ideal for connecting headphones, power amplifiers, and active speakers for contrast.
This passive audio switcher does not affect sound quality. It features volume control, is easy to use and install, requires no power, and needs no additional software. Its super mini size and compact, exquisite appearance make it portable for your pocket and a stylish addition to your desktop or office.
Warm Tips
- Turntable Compatibility: The MC102 / MC1022 is not compatible with turntables. The PHONO signal is too low, which can result in low output sound and distortion. While you can try connecting, normal operation cannot be guaranteed.
- Passive Speaker Connection: The MC102 / MC1022 cannot be connected directly to passive speakers. Correct connections include: audio source -- (preamplifier) -- MC102 / MC1022 -- active speakers, or audio source -- MC102 / MC1022 -- amplifier -- passive speakers.
- MC102 AUX Interface: For the MC102 version, a new 3.5mm AUX interface is provided between channels A and B for customers who prefer connecting all cables on one side. However, the 3.5mm AUX interface on the opposite side takes priority.
- Volume Potentiometer: The volume potentiometer functions smoothly in 2-IN-1-OUT mode. In 1-IN-2-OUT mode, especially when connected to active speakers, the volume adjustment may not be as smooth. This issue is not present when connecting MC102 / MC1022 to headphones in either mode.
- Static Noise: Static noise is often caused by common ground or an empty load. To resolve this, add an audio isolation module to one of the active speakers/amplifiers/preamps. For example: MC102 / MC1022 -- isolation module -- active speaker (1-IN-2-OUT mode), or audio source -- isolation module -- MC102 / MC1022 (2-IN-1-OUT mode).
