Wiring Diagrams

TCP/IP Wiring Diagram

This diagram illustrates the connections for the access control system. The main unit connects to a router via Ethernet for TCP/IP communication. It supports connections for multiple doors, each with a reader, an electric lock (or electromagnetic lock/electric bolt), an exit button, and a door magnetic contact. Power is supplied via a 12V, 3A source. An optional Fire & Alarm expansion board can be connected to provide additional alarm outputs and fire signal input.

Key connections include:

  • Power: +12V and GND terminals for the main unit and locks.
  • Readers: Connect to D0, D1, +12V, and GND terminals on the controller for each door.
  • Electric Locks: Connect to LA+ and L- terminals for standard electric locks, or LB+ and L- for electromagnetic locks/electric bolts.
  • Exit Buttons: Connect to OPEN and GND terminals.
  • Door Magnetic Contacts: Connect to D_IN and GND terminals to monitor door status.
  • Network: Ethernet port connects to a router or network switch for TCP/IP communication.
  • Optional Expansion: The Fire & Alarm expansion board connects via a dedicated expansion interface, providing 4-way alarm output and fire signal input.

LAN & WAN Wiring Diagrams

These diagrams show network configurations for the access control system.

LAN (Local Area Network) Wiring Diagram

In a LAN setup, an Operator Computer and multiple RFID access controllers are connected to a central Network Switch or HUB. This allows for local network management and communication between devices.

WAN (Wide Area Network) Wiring Diagram

A WAN setup connects the system to the internet. An Operator Computer connects to the internet via a router and ADSL modem. RFID access controllers are connected to the network, potentially through multiple routers, ADSL modems, and network switches/hubs, allowing for remote access and management across different locations. The system can connect many IC series TCP/IP network access controllers.

Fire & Alarm Expansion Board (Optional)

The Fire & Alarm expansion board is an optional add-on module that enhances the system's fire and alarm capabilities. It allows for the setting of Fire and Alarm signal output via the software.

Module Features:

  • 4-way alarm output, configurable for specific doors.
  • Fire signal input: When a fire signal is received, doors open automatically, and a fire alarm record is generated.
  • Supports various alarm types: break-in alarm, long time unlocking alarm, forced entry alarm, invalid card alarm, and fire & alarm linkage.
  • Configurable delay time for each output (0-600 seconds).

Wiring Diagram Description:

The expansion board connects to the main IC series TCP/IP access controller's expansion interface. It features terminals for a fire closure signal input (F+, F-) and four relays (Relay1 to Relay4). Each relay has Normally Closed (NC), Common (COM), and Normally Open (NO) terminals for connecting external alarm devices or door locks. The board also includes a +12V and GND connection for power and an LED indicator.
