3.1 FW upgrade

A new firmware release, ROM SPG 3.01, will be applied to the affected products in production starting from the date indicated in Section 4. This new firmware offers Galileo reception, improved BeiDou performance, and other new features. For detailed change information, refer to the documents listed in Section 6.

Note: The Estimated First Shipment Date is a forecast for when customers may receive the changed product. This date is based on estimated inventory depletion and may be affected by supply and demand fluctuations. u-blox will continue to ship pre-change product until inventory is depleted.

5 Customer Impact and Recommended Action

u-blox has ensured that ROM SPG3.01 is backward compatible with the ROM 2.01 based NEO-M8M/Q modules. u-blox will provide samples of NEO-M8M-0-10 and NEO-M8Q-0-10 with ROM SPG3.01 for customer evaluation. Please contact your local Sales representative.
