Important Notes
- Grounding is required for proper product function. Consult a licensed electrician if a ground wire is not present.
- After power restoration, the switch can be manually controlled for the first 30 seconds but will not automatically control the load for the first 2 minutes.
- The switch requires an unobstructed view of room occupants to detect motion.
- Hot objects or moving air currents may affect performance.
- Do not exceed 20 devices on a single branch circuit.
- CAUTION: Do not use to control receptacles to prevent overheating and potential damage to other equipment.
- Install in accordance with all national and local electrical codes.
- For indoor use only. Operate between 32°F and 104°F (0°C and 40°C).
- Clean with a soft damp cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners.

Installation and Wiring
Step 1: Turn Power OFF
WARNING! Shock Hazard. May result in serious injury or death. Turn off power at the circuit breaker before installing the unit.
Step 2: Connect Occupancy Sensing Switch
Wiring Diagram Description: Connect the Black wire to the Line (Hot) terminal. Connect the Green or Bare wire to the Ground terminal. The diagram shows the switch connected to the circuit.
Note: The device will not function if it is not grounded.
Step 3: Turn Power ON
Restore power at the circuit breaker.
Custom Settings (Optional)

Instructions for Setting Custom Options:
- Press and hold the button indicated in the illustrations.
- The indicator lens will flash once for each setting. The device starts at setting 1.
- Release the button after the desired number of flashes (corresponding to the setting).
- The setting is saved after the button is released.

Auto-On daylight sensing³ and Auto-Off | Automatic light activation when natural light is low, and automatic deactivation. For natural light detection, if the switch behavior is not as expected, press the large button within 5 seconds of entering the room to "teach" the switch your preference. | |
