P25 Conventional & Trunking Features
P25 Conventional and Trunking
The IC-F9011 series provides P25 conventional and trunking capabilities as standard. Individual channels can be assigned to analog conventional, P25 conventional, or P25 trunking modes.
Interoperability
The IC-F9011 series conforms to TIA/EIA TSB-102, CAAB, Digital C4FM Transceiver Performance Recommendations, ensuring interoperability with other P25 equipment used in public safety.
Digital/Analog Mixed Mode Operation
This feature allows the radio to detect and receive both analog FM and P25 digital modes, and transmit in either mode based on programming. This provides flexibility in mixed environments.
Individual ID and Talkgroup ID
The IC-F9011T/S and IC-F9021T/S models offer 100 individual IDs and 250 talkgroup IDs for memory. This allows users to visually select specific individuals or groups for communication.
Optional AES/DES Encryption
Secure conversations are possible with optional UT-125 AES/DES encryption units or UT-128 DES encryption units. Versions certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 1 for AES encryption are available.
Enhanced Vocoder Ready
Utilizing the DVSI's AMBE+2™ vocoder, the IC-F9011 series offers enhanced vocoder capabilities.
OTAR (Over-the-Air-Rekeying)
The IC-F9011 series supports P25 OTAR for over-the-air encryption key changes.
4-way Navigation Cross Keypad
The 4-way cross keypad on the front panel provides an intuitive user interface for navigation.
Encryption Button and 3-Position Zone Select Switch
A toggle switch on the top of the radio allows for turning encryption on or off. A 3-position switch enables quick selection of operating zones, based on programming settings.
Large Dot-Matrix Display
The IC-F9011T/S and F9021T/S feature a large dot-matrix display that shows various operating statuses at a glance. A key indicator at the bottom line of the display shows the functions assigned to the [I], [II], and [III] buttons for efficient operation.
Slim Dimensions
With a thickness of 41.8 mm (1.65 in), the IC-F9011 series is designed with a solid and ergonomic shape for comfortable handling.
6W RF Output Power
The IC-F9011T/S/B provides 6W* of high output power. The supplied 3040 mAh (typ.) Li-Ion battery pack, BP-254, offers approximately 9 hours* of operating time. (*5W for IC-F9021T/S/B. Typical operation with Tx:Rx:standby=5:5:90.)
1000 mW Audio Output Power
The built-in BTL amplifier doubles the audio output power, delivering loud audio even in noisy environments. This feature is also available through the external accessory connector for enhanced audio output via a speaker microphone.
IP67 Dust-Tight and Waterproof Protection
The IC-F9011 series meets IP67 dust-tight and waterproof protection standards and is tested to demanding MIL-STD 810 requirements. This means the radio can be submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes and withstand rugged use in harsh weather conditions.
14-pin Accessory Connector
A new 14-pin accessory connector enhances the IC-F9011 series' performance and capabilities, with reserved pins for programmable key inputs.
Tactical Group Function
This function allows users to copy memory channels to a tactical zone and temporarily regroup them. Using an optional zone copy cable, memory channels can be transferred from a master radio to other radios.
Abundant Scanning Settings
Features include dual priority scan, which monitors two primary channels alternately while scanning others, and mode-dependent scan, which automatically adjusts the scan list based on the operating channel. Talk-back function with timer beep, TX channel, and cancel channel settings allow for preset transmission channels during scanning or canceling.
Optional Man Down Unit
The optional Man Down unit, UT-124R, automatically sends an emergency signal if the radio remains in a horizontal position for a preset time.

Applicable U.S. Military Specifications & IP Rating
The IC-F9011 series meets various MIL-STD 810G standards for durability, including low pressure, high temperature, low temperature, temperature shock, solar radiation, rain, humidity, salt fog, dust blowing, immersion, vibration, and shock. It also meets equivalent MIL-STD-810-C, -D, -E, and -F standards.
