LANCOM Wall Mount LW-700

General notes

The LANCOM Wall Mount LW-700 is designed exclusively for mounting a LANCOM LW-700 access point vertically on a wall or horizontally on a ceiling.

The bracket must be mounted on a solid surface that cannot be bent or stretched.

Installation on (pitched) roofs or corrugated roofs, as well as installation in other mounting directions/angles, is not permitted or not recommended without additional securing of the access point to the bracket.

In addition, the LANCOM Wall Mount LW-700 can be mounted on a suspended ceiling using the two T-bar clips included in the scope of delivery.

Wall or ceiling mounting of the LANCOM Wall Mount LW-700 without T-bar clips

Place the bracket A in the desired position on the wall or ceiling so that its base rests on the wall or ceiling. The raised areas on the corners of the bracket, to which the access point will later be attached, must point towards you.

For wall mounting, the bracket must be aligned so that the keyhole-shaped recesses (1) point upwards with their insertion openings. Use the LANCOM Wall Mount LW-700 as a drilling template.

Depending on the condition of the surface, select 4 suitable pan-head screws M4x35 and, if necessary, suitable dowels for mounting the bracket.

The bracket is attached through the 4 holes (2) near the outside of the bracket, or optionally through the slotted holes arranged concentrically to the center of the bracket.

Diagram Description: Shows the mounting bracket (labeled A). Four points labeled '1' indicate keyhole-shaped recesses for mounting screws. Four points labeled '2' indicate additional mounting holes.

Mounting the access point on the LANCOM Wall Mount LW-700

The access point is already prepared for mounting on the bracket. When positioning the access point, lead the cables out to the side or upwards behind the access point housing.

Insert the access point into the bracket so that the M3x10 screws (3) already pre-assembled on the device engage in the insertion openings of the keyhole-shaped recesses in the bracket.

Then push the access point downwards (4) until it audibly clicks into the catches (5).

Diagram Description: Illustrates the process of attaching the access point to the bracket. Arrows labeled '3' point to screws on the access point. Arrow '4' shows the direction of downward force. '5' indicates the catches that secure the access point.

Preparation of the bracket for mounting the access point on a suspended ceiling using the T-bar clips included in the scope of delivery

Place the bracket A in front of you so that it is facing downwards with the raised areas at the corners. Then insert both T-bar clips (6) one after the other into the rectangular recesses (7) of the bracket so that the guides of the clips (8) hook into them and fasten the clips into place from the other side using the enclosed screws M3x10 (9).

Then mount the access point on the bracket as described in the previous chapter.

Diagram Description: Depicts the bracket (A) with T-bar clips (6) being attached. '7' shows the rectangular recesses on the bracket. '8' indicates the guides on the T-bar clips. '9' shows screws used to fasten the clips.

Mounting the bracket with attached access point on a suspended ceiling

Place the access point with the mounted bracket on the ceiling rail so that the hooks (10) of both T-bar clips are above the rail on one side.

Then push the access point together with the bracket on the other side of the rail upwards until both T-bar clips on this side audibly click into place on the rail.

Diagram Description: Shows the assembled bracket and access point being attached to a suspended ceiling rail. '10' highlights the hooks of the T-bar clips engaging with the ceiling rail.

Removing the bracket with mounted access point from the suspended ceiling

To remove the access point together with the bracket from the suspended ceiling, first remove all additional safety devices.

Then carefully push the access point and bracket horizontally at a 90° angle to the direction of the ceiling rail and then pull the access point and bracket down on the other side.

Diagram Description: Shows the assembly being detached from a suspended ceiling rail. Arrows indicate a horizontal movement (90° angle) followed by a downward pull.

Removing the access point from the bracket

After removing it from the ceiling rail, pull both the access point and the bracket forcefully in opposite directions (4) until the screws (3) of the access point are released from the locking mechanisms (5) of the bracket.

If necessary, use a tool to carefully bend the catches slightly open.

You can then remove the access point through the insertion openings.

To release the access point from the wall-mounted bracket, push the access point upwards with firm pressure. The access point can then be removed to the front.

Diagram Description: Illustrates the release mechanism for the access point from the bracket. Arrows labeled '4' show opposite pulling directions. '3' points to the screws on the access point. '5' indicates the locking mechanisms or catches.
