I. Software Setup

  1. Connect the Tribunus III ESC to your PC using a USB-C Cable or a Vlink II cable with a diode cable.

  2. Ensure you are using firmware (FW) version 16 or higher.

Note: FR.SKY S.Port protocol is functional with Scorpion Tribunus III ESCs ONLY.

  1. In the software, select "Frsky Smart Port" from the dropdown menu for option A5 - Communication Protocol.

Important: Make sure your FRSKY remote control is updated to the latest firmware (FW) to ensure proper function.

II. Hardware Connection

  1. Connect your Tribunus-III ESC to your FrSky Receiver (RX).

    • Connection is made with a simple male-to-male servo extension cable (patch cable).
    • Use an available port on your FRSKY receiver that supports S.PORT function (often labeled 'ALL' or 'S.PORT') to connect to the ESC's PC.PORT.

  1. Remove the propeller or pinion from the motor. Carefully check all connections. Apply suitable battery power to the ESC.

III. Transmitter Setup

  1. Model Setup: Navigate through the transmitter menus: Model setup ➡️ RF System ➡️ Scroll down to choose your receiver (e.g., TDR10). ➡️ Select the option to assign the telemetry pin (e.g., pin 8) to S.PORT.

  1. Configure Screen: Access the screen configuration menu (usually via a '+' icon). Choose the format screen, then 'change' for a widget. Select 'Value' as the widget type, 'Telemetry' as the category, and 'ESC...' as the member.
