Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Can I use the same PROGRAMMER on other vehicles?
A: No, the programmer will be locked to the first vehicle that used it. You may add more keys to the same vehicle again as needed, but it will not work on different vehicles.
Q: The programmer beeps 8 times after inserting into OBD port and will not pair the new key.
A: Your vehicle allows UP TO 8 paired keys. If the vehicle is already paired with 8 keys, new keys cannot be paired. If the programmer beeps 8 times after inserting into OBD port, this indicates that the maximum number of keys have been paired. Return the product to the retailer from which it was purchased.
Q: How to cut the key?
A: Locksmiths, hardware stores, box stores, and even some supermarkets can cut keys. However, you MUST have at least one original key for key cutting. It is recommended that you attempt to open the door's mechanical lock after cutting the new key to ensure the key was cut properly.

Important Notes

Programming Instructions for Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler Remote Key Replacement

Instructions have timing requirements. If you wait too long between steps, your vehicle's computer may time out, which means you have to restart. Once you start the pairing process, operate it at a quick and even pace.

NOTE: Before pairing, verify key blade and appearance compatibility with vehicle make, model, and year.

  1. Enter the vehicle and ensure all doors are closed. Begin with the vehicle in PARK and the engine OFF. Turn hazard lights ON.
  2. Press the brake pedal, insert the original key into the ignition and turn to the START position to start the vehicle engine.
  3. Insert the programmer firmly into the on-board diagnostic (OBD) port located under the dash. The red LED will light up. The programmer will beep once and the red LED starts to flash after 10~30 seconds (the time depends on your vehicle).
  4. Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
  5. Insert the new key and turn the ignition to the ON/RUN position. Do not start the vehicle. The programmer will beep twice.
  6. NOTE: If the programmer does not beep twice but continuously after 20 seconds, press and hold the OK button on the programmer until the green light lights up and buzzer stops.
  7. Wait up to 15~30 seconds and listen for a piece of music. The green LED lights up, indicating that the key programming is successful. Turn off the ignition and unplug the programmer from the OBD port.
  8. To pair additional keys, unplug the programmer from the OBD port. Repeat the pairing process for any additional keys, beginning with pairing step 1.
