- Access the next level ([START button])
- Return to the previous level ([STOP button])
- Scroll forward or backward within the menu level, or to increase or decrease values ([PLUS button] or [MINUS button])
Button Assignment

Training with ROX GPS 7.0 / Starting a Recording
Sport Profiles
The ROX GPS 7.0 features so-called “SPORT PROFILES”. These allow you to immediately associate various settings with the chosen type of sport. This way, all important settings are linked to the SPORT PROFILE. When changing the sport profile, training views and settings for auto-pause, for example, are automatically set. Once established, you will no longer need to check the settings. Training views within the SPORT PROFILE can only be set via the DATA CENTER.
Starting Training
Once you have selected the desired SPORT PROFILE, the device will search for GPS signal. After the GPS search is complete, you can switch between different views using the [PLUS button] or [MINUS button]. To start training or recording, press the [START button] once. If the stopwatch is running, this is always indicated.
Training Settings in the Quick Menu
If you wish to make further training settings before starting, e.g., calibrate the altitude, press and hold the [PLUS button] to access the quick menu. The following settings can be made:
- a. Activity in Progress: This option appears immediately after starting training. It allows you to view all important values on the ROX GPS 7.0 during the ride.
- b. Altitude Calibration IAC+: The ROX GPS 7.0 measures altitude based on atmospheric barometric pressure. Any meteorological change causes a change in air pressure, which can lead to a different altitude measurement. To compensate for this measurement difference, you must enter a reference altitude (calibration) into the ROX GPS 7.0. The ROX GPS 7.0 offers three different forms of calibration (only one option needs to be used):
- Starting Altitude 1-3: The starting altitude indicates the altitude of your starting point. This allows you to set 3 different starting altitudes.
- Current Altitude: The current altitude indicates the altitude of your location at the current moment. The current altitude is useful if you need an altitude indication during a bike ride.
- Sea Level Air Pressure: If you are at an unknown altitude, you can enter the so-called “Sea Level Air Pressure” to calibrate the current altitude. To find the air pressure value, you can consult the internet (e.g., weather websites) or the daily newspaper.
- GPS Calibration: If you do not have any reference point or clue to determine the current altitude, you can determine it via GPS. The accuracy of the displayed altitude depends on the GPS signal and is shown on the display (e.g., +/-10 m).
- c. Select Sport Profile: If you have inadvertently selected the wrong profile, you can change it again. This is only possible if the training has not yet started.
- d. Load Route: You can load a route at any time.
- e. Strava Live Segments: You can view your Strava segments or disable Strava.
- f. Auto Pause: As soon as you press Start, you can begin training. The ROX GPS 7.0 waits to detect a speed above 2.2 km/h to start recording the training. From this moment, the auto-pause function takes care of pausing the training time if the speed is below 2.2 km/h (the display shows “Auto Pause”) and resuming it when the speed exceeds this value (automatic start).
- g. Auto Lap: In the settings, you can choose between distance, time, or calorie criteria. For example, if 5 km is selected for an auto lap, a lap is automatically recorded every 5 km. These laps can be analyzed in detail in the DATA CENTER.
- h. Compass Calibration: Calibrate the compass to orient yourself better on the route, even when stationary.
- i. Zoom: Here you can choose between a fixed or automatic zoom level for route display. In case of automatic level, the zoom level changes depending on the speed.
Ending Training and Data Transfer
If you wish to end the training or route, press the [STOP button] twice. A message will appear asking whether you want to save or continue the training. With the [STOP button], you can end and save the training. This training can then be transferred to the DATA CENTER. To do this, simply connect the ROX GPS 7.0 to the DATA CENTER and follow its instructions.
