General Safeguards
- Always turn the unit off when not in use. Unplug from the wall outlet if left unattended for long periods.
- If continuous snapping/popping sounds occur, unplug the TV and consult a service technician. Occasional sounds are normal when turning on/off.
- Do not damage the power cord: avoid pinching, bending, twisting, or placing heavy objects on it. Always grasp the plug when disconnecting.
- Ensure proper ventilation: do not block slots or openings. Avoid confined spaces.
- Do not install near heat sources.
- Panel protection: the glass panel can break if dropped or impacted. Handle with care to avoid injury from broken glass.
- Pixel defect: a few non-active pixels (blue, green, or red fixed points) may appear on screen; this does not affect product performance.

Right View Controls:
- SOURCE Button: Selects input source.

Mounting and Installation Precautions
Desktop Mounting:
The LED TV can be mounted on a desktop with its base installed. This is not a floor-standing unit.
Wall Mounting:
Ensure sufficient space for safe use. Maintain at least 1 inch (2.54 cm) clearance from all sides (top, bottom, left, right, back) for proper ventilation. Improper ventilation can cause damage due to increased temperature. Contact a dealer for an adjustable-angle wall mount.
Using the Stand:
Do not install the TV on an unstable location with a support area smaller than the TV. Refer to the desktop stand user's manual for installation details.
Installing an Antenna
To connect to ATSC or NTSC broadcast, use a coaxial cable to connect the wall jack or external antenna to the RF-IN port on the LED TV. After connection, press the SOURCE button on the remote to select TV, then press RIGHT to confirm to receive the ATSC/NTSC signal.
Remote Control Functions
The remote control operates the TV and DVD functions. Key buttons include:
- TV: Activates TV Mode.
- POWER: On/off for TV and DVD.
- DVD: Activates DVD Mode.
- PREVIOUS / FAST REVERSE / FAST FORWARD / NEXT: Navigation for media playback.
- EJECT (DVD): Ejects DVD disc.
- STOP / PLAY/PAUSE: Controls media playback.
- RPT: Repeat selection.
- T/F (DVD) / ZOOM (DVD) / SUB-T (DVD) / DISP (DVD): DVD playback controls.

Remote Control Precautions
Ensure correct battery polarity (+,-) and that batteries are good. Open the cover, insert two AA 1.5V batteries, aligning polarities, then replace the cover. Dispose of used batteries according to national recycling programs. The remote control operates within 30 feet (7m) and 30° to the left/right of the IR receiver on the TV front.
Connection
VCR Connections
Connect the LED TV's Composite In terminal to the VCR's Composite OUT terminal using the included Composite cable. Ensure the color of the terminals and cables match (Yellow for Video, Red for Right Audio, White for Left Audio).
Digital Amplifier Connections
Connect the LED TV's SPDIF OUT terminal to a Digital Amplifier's SPDIF IN terminal using an SPDIF cable (not included).
Watching Video Tape
- Turn on the LED TV and press the SOURCE button on the remote control.
- Use the Up/Down arrows to move to "AV".
- Press ENTER to confirm the source selection. The TV will automatically enter selection mode.
- Turn on the VCR, insert the tape, and press the play button.
Satellite/Cable TV Set-Top Box Connections
To watch Cable TV, subscribe to a local Cable TV company and install a separate receiver (Set-Top Box).
Connecting to Composite Terminal:
Connect the LED TV's Composite In terminal to the cable broadcasting receiver's Composite Out terminal using the Composite cable. Ensure terminal and cable colors match.
Connecting to HDMI Terminal:
Connect the LED TV's HDMI terminal to the cable broadcasting receiver's HDMI Out terminal using an HDMI cable (not included).
Watching Cable TV
- Turn on the LED TV and press the SOURCE button on the remote control.
- Use the Up/Down arrows to move to "AV". If HDMI is connected, select "HDMI".
- Press ENTER to confirm the source selection.
- Turn on the cable broadcasting receiver and select the desired channel.
DVD Connections
Connecting to Component Terminal:
- Connect the LED TV's YPbPr (Component) terminal to the DVD's Video Out terminal using a Component Video Cable (not included).
- Connect the LED TV's Audio terminals to the DVD's Audio Out terminal using an Audio cable (not included).
- Ensure the component connection cable Y, Pb, Pr colors match between the LED TV and DVD Player.
Connecting to HDMI Terminal:
Connect the LED TV's HDMI terminal to the DVD player's HDMI Out terminal using an HDMI cable (not included).
USB Connections
The USB port allows access to USB flash drives to display pictures or play MP3 files. Connect a USB flash drive to the TV's USB port and press the SOURCE button to select USB mode.
Playing DVDs
- Turn on the LED TV and press the SOURCE button.
- Press SOURCE to cycle and select "Component". If HDMI is connected, select "HDMI".
- Wait a few seconds for the TV to automatically enter selection mode.
- Turn on the DVD player, insert the DVD disc, and press the Play button.
PC Connections
Connect the LED TV's PC Input terminal to the PC's VGA terminal using a VGA cable (not included). Connect the LED TV's PC Audio terminal to the PC's Audio terminal using a 3.5mm (Headphone) audio cable (not included). This is only for PCs with an audio terminal.
External Audio Amplifier
Connect the LED TV's AUDIO (L/R) output terminal to an Audio Amplifier using an audio patch cable (not included). The TV speakers will still output audio. Use the Volume +/- buttons to adjust the audio output level.
How to use as a PC monitor
- Turn on the LED TV and press the SOURCE button on the remote control.
- Use the Up/Down arrows to move to "VGA".
- Press ENTER to confirm the source selection.
Basic Use
Selecting Input Source
Select between the TV signal and input signals from connected equipment. Use the SOURCE button on the remote control to cycle through inputs, then use Up/Down arrows to select and ENTER to confirm. The LED TV will automatically enter the selected mode after a few moments.
Initial Setup Wizard
After connecting the TV antenna or Coaxial cable, turn the television ON. The quick setup wizard will appear. Select your preferred language, antenna options, and perform an Auto Scan to receive local broadcast channels. Navigate using the arrow buttons to highlight options and the RIGHT/ENTER button to select/confirm.
Application: Menu Operation and Settings
To access menus: 1. Press POWER to turn on TV. 2. Press MENU to display the main menu. 3. Use LEFT/RIGHT buttons to select a main menu option. 4. Use UP/DOWN buttons to highlight a sub-menu option. 5. Use LEFT/RIGHT buttons to change settings. 6. Press MENU or EXIT to exit.
Picture Settings
Adjust picture settings:
- Picture Mode: Standard, Dynamic, Soft, Personal.
- Contrast: Controls difference between brightest and darkest regions.
- Brightness: Controls overall brightness.
- Color: Controls color intensity.
- Tint: Controls tint.
- Sharpness: Adjusts edge crispness.
- Color Mode: Normal, Cool, Warm.
- HDMI CEC: Enables Consumer Electronics Control features like TV Auto Power (TV turns on with compatible CEC device), TV Auto Switch (TV switches to HDMI input with compatible CEC device), Device Auto Standby (connected CEC device turns off with TV), and Audio Receiver (sends audio to HDMI connected AV receiver).
Audio Settings
Customize sound options:
- Sound Mode: Standard, Music, Movie, Personal.
- Bass: Controls lower pitched sounds.
- Treble: Controls higher pitched sounds.
- Balance: Adjusts left/right sound track volume.
- TV Speaker: On/Off.
- AVC (Automatic Volume Control): Keeps volume level steady.
- SPDIF Type: PCM, RAW (for digital connection to Home Theater system).
- Audio Language: Selects preferred audio languages (English, French, Spanish).
Timer Settings
Set up time options:
- Sleep Time: Sets sleep timer (5, 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180, 240 minutes, off).
- Time Zone: Selects correct time zone (Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii, Eastern, Central, Mountain).
- Daylight Saving Time: On/Off.
Setup Settings
Configure various setup options:
- Menu Language: Selects menu languages (English, French, Spanish).
- Transparency: On/Off for on-screen menu transparency.
- Zoom Mode: Normal, Cinema, Wide, Zoom.
- Noise Reduction: Strong, Off, Weak, Middle.
- Closed Caption: Select CC Modes (On, Off, CC on Mute), Basic Selections (CC1-CC4, Text1-Text4), Advanced Services (Service1-Service6), and Option settings (Font Style, Size, Edge Style, Color, Opacity).
- Audio Out: Variable, Fixed (TV speakers must be Off in Audio Menu for this to be enabled).
- Restore Default: Restores all SETUP menu settings to factory defaults.
Lock Settings
Set up various lock options. The factory password is 0000.
- Change Password: Input a new 4-digit password.
- System Lock: On/Off. If Off, US, Canada, RRT Setting, and Reset RRT options are not used.
- US (MPAA Ratings): Block content based on Movie Picture Association of America ratings (N/A, G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, X).
- Canada (Ratings): Block content based on Canadian ratings (English: E, C, C8+, G, PG, 14+, 18+; French: E, G, 8ans+, 13ans+, 16ans+, 18ans+).
- RRT Setting: Reset RRT settings.
Channel Settings
Search and configure channel options:
- Air/Cable: Selects between Air (antenna) and Cable input.
- Auto Scan: Automatically searches and stores receivable channels. For Cable, select Cable Systems (Auto, STD, IRC, HRC).
- Favorite: Adds/removes channels to/from favorite list.
- Show/Hide: Shows/hides channels.
- Channel No.: Displays current channel number.
- Channel Label: Displays current channel label.
- DTV Signal: Displays quality of current DTV signal.
USB Settings
The TV's USB port allows display of pictures and playback of MP3 files from a USB flash drive.
Photo Mode:
Use Up/Down arrows to select Photo. Use Up/Down arrows to select a file and ENTER to view. Use the Return button to go back to the main menu. Use Left/Right arrows to select the next/previous file.
Music Mode:
Use Up/Down arrows to select Music. Use Up/Down arrows to select a file and ENTER to play. Use the Stop button to stop playback. Use the Fast Rewind/Fast Forward/Repeat buttons for playback control.
