Congratulations!
You have purchased a DigiTech® digital effect pedal.
Digital pedals have limited battery life due to constant power draw. Use batteries primarily for demonstration and practice. For continuous use, an optional power adapter is recommended.
If the LED brightness changes or the pedal won't switch from Bypass to Effect, replace the battery or obtain an optional power adapter from your local DigiTech dealer.

Note: Use unbalanced mono instrument cables only.
Tails Switch
The Supernatural features a Tails Switch that allows the reverb signal to continue after the effect is bypassed. When set to ON, true hardwire bypass is not used. When set to OFF, the reverb signal is cut off immediately upon bypassing.
The Tails Switch is located under the Foot Switch. Access it by pressing one of the Foot Switch Release Pins with the tip of a 1/4" guitar cable plug. Once the Foot Switch is removed, the Tails Switch is visible inside the chassis. Slide the switch left for Tails ON and right for Tails OFF.
Diagram Description: A close-up illustration of the Tails Switch mechanism. It shows a toggle switch labeled "ON" and "OFF". Arrows indicate the direction for "Tails On" (left) and "Tails Off" (right).
Setup Diagrams
Amplifier Setup
Diagram Description: Illustrates connecting the Supernatural pedal between a guitar and one or two amplifiers. An optional power supply is shown connected to the pedal. An alternative connection shows the pedal placed between a guitar and another effect pedal before the amplifier.
Effects Setup
Diagram Description: Shows the Supernatural pedal connected within an amplifier's effects loop (AMP SEND and AMP RETURN). The guitar is connected to the pedal's input, and the pedal's output is connected to the AMP SEND. An optional power supply is shown connected to the pedal. A note indicates to set the amp's effects loop mix control to 100% full wet if available.
Battery Operation
If battery power is depleted, HardWire pedals automatically switch to bypass, eliminating the need to remove the pedal from your chain. To replace the battery:
- Using the tip of a 1/4" guitar cable, push one of the Release Pins on either side of the Foot Switch and remove it from the pedal chassis.
- Remove the old battery from the compartment and disconnect its cable.
- Connect a new battery to the cable and place it in the compartment. Ensure the battery cable does not interfere with the spring or pedal switch arm.
- Align one hole of the Foot Switch over its corresponding pin.
- Push the opposite pin in and lower the other side of the Foot Switch into place over the depressed pin. Release the pin. Both release pins should be flush with the outer side of the pedal when properly fastened.
Diagram Description: An exploded view illustrating the battery replacement process. It shows the Foot Switch, Pedal Switch Arm, 9VDC Battery, Foot Switch Release Pins, Battery Compartment, Spring, and Pedal Chassis. The diagram details how the battery is placed and the Foot Switch is reattached.
