Recommendations for Installation
⚠️ ATTENTION: Failure to follow these recommendations may void the warranty. It is recommended that a qualified, licensed tradesperson install this product.
Water Pressure
Visual: A pressure gauge illustration showing a range from Min 1 to Max 5, with a recommended setting around 3 bar. [Shows a gauge with markings for Min 1 and Max 5, and a checkmark ✔️ at 3 bar].
Specification: Water Pressure: 3 bar.
Product performance cannot be guaranteed if pressure is less than 1 bar. Above 5 bar, a pressure regulator must be installed. Failure to do so voids the product warranty.
Water Temperature
Visual: Thermometer illustrations indicating a maximum of 70°C and a recommended range between 45°C and 65°C. [Shows thermometers with markings for Max 70°C, 60°C, and 45°C, with checkmarks ✔️].
Specification: Water Temperature: 45°-65°C.
Stop Taps/Filters
Visual: Diagram illustrating water supply lines with angle valves or filters. [Shows water pipes connecting to a mixer, with angle valves depicted].
Angle valves and/or filters are recommended to prevent impurities and debris entering the mixer.
Pre-Flush
Visual: Diagram showing water flushing from pipes into buckets. [Shows water flow from pipes into two buckets].
Always flush out the pipework before connecting any tapware. Failure to do so voids the product warranty.
Flexible Hoses
Visual: Diagrams showing correct and incorrect flexible hose connections and bending. [Shows correct hose connections with checkmarks ✔️ and incorrect, kinked hoses with crosses ❌].
Before installation, check that both end fittings of the flexible hoses are well tightened/crimped. If in doubt, do not install the flexible hose.
Hose Bending Requirements:
- Ensure a straight section of the flexible hose from the hose crimp of at least 1.5-2 times the external (ED) diameter of the hose before any bends. Visual: Diagram shows a straight section before a bend with measurement 1.5-2x ED.
- Hand tighten flexi-hoses only. Do not use a spanner with excessive force. Visual: Illustration of hand tightening a hose fitting, with a spanner crossed out ❌.
- Flexible hose bending radius (BR) should be less than four times the external (ED) diameter of the hose. Do not install with any tension, twists, pinch points, or sharp bends/kinks. Visual: Diagram shows a bend with radius indicator BR 4x ED, and a cross mark ❌ indicating this is too tight.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Cleaning
Visual: Illustration of a hand cleaning a mixer tap with a cloth. [Shows a hand holding a cloth and wiping a tap].
Clean with warm soapy water and a smooth cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges or detergents as these will damage the finish.
Aerator Maintenance
Visual: Illustration showing the removal and cleaning of a tap aerator. [Shows aerator components being disassembled].
Remove the aerator, either with a spanner or an aerator cartridge key. Immerse for half a day in water-vinegar solution (80-20%). Wash, then reassemble.
Cartridge Replacement
Visual: Exploded diagram of cartridge components: handle, dome, locking nut, cartridge. Numbered 1-4. [Shows parts labeled 1, 2, 3, 4 in order of removal].
Before you start, turn off the water supply to the mixer.
- Remove the handle.
- Unscrew the dome (hand tightened).
- Unscrew the locking nut.
- Remove the cartridge.
Max tightening torque on locking nut: 10-12 Nm.

Installation Steps
-
Step 1: Insert the flexible hoses (remembering to hand-tighten only) and the threaded fixing rods.
Visual: Diagram showing flexible hoses with threaded fixing rods being inserted into the base of the mixer. Arrows indicate insertion direction. [Shows hoses and rods being pushed into mixer base]. -
Step 2: Insert the mixer unit/hoses into the taphole.
Visual: Diagram showing the mixer unit, with hoses attached, being lowered into a taphole in a countertop or basin. [Shows mixer being placed into a hole]. -
Step 3: Slide on the rubber gasket and the metal fixing plate, and wind on the fixing nuts. While holding the mixer in place, tighten the nuts using a wrench.
Visual: Diagram showing a rubber gasket and metal fixing plate being placed onto the threaded rods from below the basin, followed by fixing nuts. An illustration of a wrench tightening these nuts is also shown. [Shows gasket, plate, nuts, and wrench].⚠️ Do not over-tighten - this will crack the basin.
