Getting Started with Your Battery and Vacuum

Your LithiumLife™ Battery

It's ready when you are. You can leave your battery on the charger—even after it's charged. Your battery will be fully charged in only 3 hours.

It cleans powerfully at any charge level. Whether it's 25% charged or 100% full, get fade-free power until the end of the charge.

It runs longer. Use both batteries to get up to 50 minutes of powerful cleaning on multiple floor types.

It's powerfully light. LithiumLife™ delivers the power you need without turning vacuuming into exercise.

Charging the Battery

To bring the battery to full life, place the battery onto the charger. LithiumLife™ battery does not come fully charged.

The charger light will turn solid blue when it's charging. A full charge only takes 3 hours.

When charging, press the white button on your battery to check the charge.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, remove battery before cleaning or servicing.

My Air™ Cordless isn't picking up well.

You may have a clogged filter. Your filter should be rinsed every 4-6 uses. Twist the top lid to the dirt cup and remove the filter. Rinse with clear warm water for two minutes. Let it dry for 24 hours before reinstalling it.

If your filter was dirty...

You may also now have a clog in the system. Unhook the hose from the bottom and stretch the hose down to search for a clog. If found, remove the clog.

My Air™ Cordless picks up well on hard floors, but not on carpet.

When you're vacuuming, look to see if the brush roll is spinning. You should hear it. If you don't, press the carpet/hard floor button next to your handle.

I don't know how to use the wand for above floor cleaning.

Put your hand on the handle. Press the wand release lever next to the power button. Slide the wand up and out. Look at the back of your machine and down to the floor. With your thumb, press the release button and remove the hose. The wand will click into the hose. See page 7 for further details.

If your brush roll is not turning on...

Your brush roll may not be activated. Turn on the CARPET/HARDFLOOR button while the vacuum handle is reclined. Or, if something has obstructed the brush roll, the Motor Protection Sensor may have been activated. Remove the battery, then find and remove the obstruction. Wait 30 minutes for the unit to reset itself, replace the battery and turn on.

Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, take it to a service center prior to continuing use.
