Device Overview

The S2 Remote Control Switch features a compact design powered by batteries, eliminating the need for wiring. It allows control of other Z-Wave devices and enables scenes with a single button press. The device supports S2 security and SmartStart for easy integration.

RGB LED Indicator Status:

Powering the Device

  1. Open the remote cap by hand, separating the two halves.
  2. Remove battery tabs.
  3. The Z-Wave remote's LED should flash to indicate it is powered on.

Battery Installation: Note the positive (+) direction of the battery when inserting.

Z-Wave Control & Integration

Adding Device to Hub and Z-Wave Network

Follow your Z-Wave certified controller's instructions to add the device. Once the controller is ready, press the FIRST BUTTON 5 times. The LED will flash blue during inclusion and turn solid green for 2 seconds upon successful inclusion. A purple flashing LED for 3 seconds indicates a reset is needed, and a red LED for 2 seconds signifies inclusion failure.

SmartStart: Scan the QR code on the packaging with your phone's camera to add the device to your hub via SmartStart. The DSK code is located on the packaging.

Removing Device from Z-Wave Network

Follow your Z-Wave controller's instructions. Once the controller is ready to remove, press the SECOND BUTTON 5 times. The LED will flash purple during exclusion and turn solid green for 2 seconds upon success. A red LED for 2 seconds indicates exclusion failure.

Wake Up Device

Press the THIRD BUTTON 5 times quickly. The LED will remain solid blue while awake and turn off when the device goes back to sleep.

Factory Reset

Press the FOURTH BUTTON 5 times, then press it 5 more times while the red light is flashing.
