Product Overview

This document provides instructions for setting up and using the One For All URC 1823 Universal Replacement Remote for Vizio televisions. It covers initial setup, troubleshooting common issues, and how to program the remote to learn functions from an original remote.

Getting Started

Initial Setup: Most newer Vizio TVs should work with the remote directly. After inserting batteries, test a few keys. If they function correctly, the remote is ready for use.

Troubleshooting: If some keys do not work as expected, proceed to the next steps.

Setup Steps

1. Ensure your TV is powered on (not in standby mode).
2. Hold down the YELLOW and GREEN keys until the LED behind the Power key blinks twice.
3. Point the remote towards the TV and hold down the POWER key. The remote will send a different power signal every 3 seconds.
4. As soon as the TV turns off, release the POWER key. The LED will blink twice.
5. Test the remaining keys on the remote. If they function as expected, your remote is ready.

If Setup Fails: If some keys still do not work correctly, proceed to the next step.

1. Press the 975 key combination, followed by ENTER. The LED will blink twice.
2. Point the remote towards the TV and hold down one of the non-functioning keys (e.g., MENU). The remote will send a signal every 3 seconds.
3. When the correct function appears on the screen (e.g., MENU), release the key. The LED will blink twice, indicating the remote is ready.

Learning Functions

Your One For All remote can learn functions from your original, working remote.

1. Place the original remote facing the One For All remote on a flat surface, approximately 2-5 cm apart.
2. Press the key on the original remote you wish to learn (e.g., VOL + for an audio device).
3. Press and hold the BLUE and RED keys on the One For All remote until the LED blinks twice.
4. Press the key on the One For All remote where you want to assign the learned function (e.g., VOL +).
5. The LED will blink twice. Repeat for any additional keys you wish to learn.
6. Once all desired keys are learned, press and hold the OK key for 3 seconds. The LED will blink twice.

Deleting Learned Functions

1. Hold down the BLUE and RED keys until the LED blinks twice.
2. Press the 976 key combination.
3. Press the key you wish to reset twice. The LED will flash twice, and the key will revert to its original function.

Battery Information

Required: 2x AAA Alkaline batteries.

Caution: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Use quality Alkaline batteries.
