- Do not apply an unbalanced load that could cause tipping.
- Do not use as a stepladder or standing platform. The footrest is for resting feet only.
- Do not store outdoors or in damp locations.

- Ensure legs are fully open and the table locks in position before use.
- Follow safety instructions for any power tools used with the Workmate.

Assembly Instructions
The Workmate® 225 Type 6 comes partially assembled. A standard hammer and the included plastic socket wrench are required.
- Empty the box and identify all components (refer to Figure 1). Place the frame (A) on the floor.
- Locate release levers near the front rubber feet. Depress both levers and pull up until the frame locks in place (Figure 2).
- Vise Jaw Bracket Assembly:
- Screw pivot nuts (E) halfway onto vise screws (D). Assemble washer (O) onto each vise screw (Figure 3).
- Insert unthreaded ends of vise screws into the frame, ensuring pivot nuts are in the top frame slots and unthreaded ends protrude through front holes (Figures 3 & 4).
- Install vise cranks (F) and secure them by driving pins (M) through the crank and vise screw holes until flush (Figure 5).
- Front Jaw Installation:
- Identify front top blocks (J) (no protruding tab on the bottom) and rear top blocks (K) (with protruding tab).
- Place front top blocks on the frame rails (Figure 6).
- Position the front vise jaw (B) on the top blocks, aligning small holes with block posts.
- Insert two bolts (L) into the jaw holes and tighten them into the threaded pivot nuts using the socket wrench (I) (Figure 1). Note: Perform on both left and right sides.
- Rear Jaw Installation:
- Position rear top blocks (K) on frame rails, ensuring tabs fit into keyholes. Position raised posts towards the rear (Figure 7).
- Install the rear vise jaw (C) onto the top blocks, aligning small holes with the raised posts.
- Insert remaining two bolts (L) through the jaw and top blocks into the vise guide posts. Note: Rear blocks are not threaded, so threads will be cut.
- Snap in the crank handle (Figure 8).
- Rubber Feet Installation:
- Turn the unit upside down. Extend and lock all four legs.
- Align rubber feet (N) with the legs and tap them into place with a hammer (Figure 9).
Adjusting the Rear Jaw
The rear jaw can be installed in one of three indexed "keyhole" positions. Slide the rear jaw into a keyhole slot in the vise jaw bracket and secure it by sliding it to the back of the keyhole (Figure 7).
Swivel Pegs
Four swivel pegs are included. They can be inserted into any of the holes in the front and rear jaws to extend the Workmate's holding capacity (Figure 10).
