Product Overview
This section describes the components of your Braun Series X trimmer.
- 1a. Body trimmer head: The main cutting head for trimming body hair.
- 1b. Body groomer head: A specialized head for shaving body hair.
- 2. On/off button: The power button, marked with the universal power symbol ⏻.
- 3. Charging indicator: An indicator light that shows the charging status: ? for charging or fully charged, ? for low battery.
- 4. Power socket: The port where the charging cable connects to the device.
- 5. Power supply: Includes the wall adapter and detachable charging cable.
- 6. Adjustable comb (3-11 mm): A comb attachment with a slider to select cutting lengths from 3 to 11 millimeters.
- 7. Fix comb (1 mm): A fixed comb attachment for a 1 mm cutting length.
- 8. Sensitive comb: A comb attachment designed for use on delicate skin areas.
Operation and Maintenance
Charging the Trimmer
Connect the trimmer to the power supply using the provided cable. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
- Full Charge: Approximately 1 hour (indicated by 1h and a full battery icon).
- Quick Charge: A 5-minute charge provides enough power for one shave (indicated by 5 min and a partially filled battery icon).
Using the Trimmer
The trimmer is designed for Wet & Dry use.
- Attach the appropriate comb (6, 7, or 8) to the trimmer head (1a) for desired hair length.
- Use the body groomer head (1b) on dry skin.
- Use the body trimmer head (1a) with a comb attachment in delicate areas.
Travel Lock
To prevent accidental activation, you can lock the trimmer:
- Press and hold the power button ⏻ for 3 seconds. A lock symbol ? will appear, and the device will not turn on.
- To unlock, press and hold the power button ⏻ for 3 seconds again. An unlock symbol ? will appear.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Clean the trimmer head and attachments under running water.
- Brush away any debris from the cutting elements.
- Dry the device thoroughly.
- For optimal performance, apply a small amount of light machine oil (not included) to the blades regularly.

- The charger unit is not for immersion in water or use in the shower.

- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- Never drop or insert any object into any opening of this appliance.
- Do not use outdoors or where aerosol products are used or oxygen is administered.
- Do not use with a damaged or broken cutter or comb, as serious skin injuries may occur.
- Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then to the outlet. To disconnect, turn all controls off, then remove the plug from the outlet.
- If plugging into an outlet outside North America, use a plug adapter to match the outlet's pin configuration.
- Caution: The battery in this device may present a fire or chemical burn hazard if mistreated. Do not disassemble, heat above 100°C (212°F), or incinerate.
- To recharge the battery, use only the detachable power supply provided. If the appliance is marked DC492, use only Braun power supplies coded 492-XXXX.

- Recommended ambient temperature for charging: 5°C to 35°C (41°F to 95°F).
- The battery may not charge properly or at all under extreme temperatures.
- Recommended ambient temperature for trimming: 15°C to 35°C (60°F to 95°F).
- Do not expose the appliance to temperatures higher than 50°C (122°F) for extended periods.
Environmental Notice & Battery Removal
This product contains batteries and/or recyclable electric waste. For environmental protection, do not dispose of it with household waste. Take it to electric waste collection points provided in your country.
Battery Removal: This appliance contains rechargeable batteries. Before disposing of the appliance, disassemble the housing as shown, remove the rechargeable batteries, and recycle or dispose of them properly according to local guidelines. Caution: Disassembling the appliance will destroy it.

100-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your Braun product, call 1-800-211-6661 for return instructions. Return the unit and all parts within 100 days of purchase. Retain the original receipt, product, and packaging. Refunds are not issued for products damaged by accident, neglect, or unreasonable use.
2-Year Limited Warranty
- For USA: Braun warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for two years from the original purchase date. Braun will repair or replace defective products at its option. This warranty does not cover damage from accident, misuse, abuse, dirt, water, tampering, unreasonable use, normal wear, unauthorized servicing, or failure to provide maintenance.
- For Canada: Braun Canada warrants the product against defects in material and workmanship for two years from the original purchase date. Braun Canada will repair or replace defective units at its option. This guarantee does not cover damage from dropping, modification, improper current, unauthorized servicing, misuse, abuse, or normal wear.
