WARNING: If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a TRUPER Authorized Service Center to avoid any risk of shock or considerable accident. The electrical insulation of this tool is altered by splashes or spills of liquid during operation. Do not expose it to rain, liquids, and/or moisture. WARNING: Before accessing terminals, all power circuits must be disconnected.

Power Requirements

ATTENTION: The connection to the power source must be made by an electrical professional, following the electrical diagram. ATTENTION: Use a separate electrical circuit for the pump. This circuit must not have conductors with a caliber lower than 12 AWG and must be protected with a 20 A time-delay fuse. Before connecting the motor to the power line, ensure the voltage matches the motor's data plate. Operating with lower voltage will damage the motor.

ATTENTION: The power cables are color-coded as follows: Green: Ground, Black: Neutral, White: Line.

WARNING: All wiring, electrical connections, and system grounding must comply with the OFFICIAL MEXICAN STANDARD NOM-001-SEDE, ELECTRIC INSTALLATIONS (USE) or local codes and ordinances. Employ a qualified electrician. It is recommended that the pump be powered by a circuit including a residual-current device (RCD) with a rated current not exceeding 30 mA.

General Power Tool Safety Warnings

WARNING! Read all safety warnings and instructions carefully. Failure to comply may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious damage. Keep warnings and instructions for future reference.

Work Area

Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered and dark areas are prone to accidents. Do not operate the tool in explosive atmospheres (flammable liquids, gases, or dust). Sparks from power tools can ignite flammable material. Keep children and bystanders away. Distractions can lead to loss of control.

Electrical Safety

The tool plug must match the outlet. Never modify the plug. Do not use adapter plugs with grounded tools. Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces (pipes, radiators, etc.). Do not expose the tool to rain or moisture. Do not force the cord; keep it away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Use outdoor-rated extension cords in damp locations and consider a GFCI-protected supply.

Personal Safety

Stay alert, use common sense, and do not operate if tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. Wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, dust masks, non-slip shoes, hard hats, and hearing protection as appropriate. Prevent unintentional starting by ensuring the switch is OFF before connecting to power or moving the tool. Remove adjustment wrenches before starting.

Do not overreach; maintain proper footing and balance. Dress appropriately; avoid loose clothing, jewelry, and long hair near moving parts. If dust extraction devices are used, ensure they are connected and used correctly.

Tool Risks

Do not force the tool; use the correct tool for the job. Do not use the tool if the switch is faulty. Disconnect the tool from the power source before making adjustments, changing accessories, or storing it. Store tools out of reach of children and untrained individuals. Service the tool regularly; check for misaligned or stuck parts, broken components, or other conditions affecting operation. Repair any damage before use. Many accidents are caused by poor tool maintenance. Use the tool, components, and accessories according to instructions and for their intended purpose.

Repair the tool at a TRUPER Authorized Service Center using only identical spare parts. The machine should not be operated by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, nor by inexperienced individuals, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the machine.

Safety Warnings for Use of Water Pumps

Adequate Uses

The pump is a stationary device designed for pumping clean, neutral liquids without abrasive solids, at temperatures not exceeding 40°C. It is useful for irrigating gardens, pumping non-aggressive liquids, and increasing insufficient water pressure from aqueducts. Peripheral pumps are suitable for agricultural applications like mini-sprinkler or aerial pulverization systems where higher pressure is required due to system height, and where minimum pressure for sprayers is high. Centrifugal pumps are not recommended for these applications due to their low output pressure. The device complies with current safety requirements when used as designed. Do not use for explosive liquids, combustibles, aggressive materials, substances harmful to health, or sewage water. Improper use or modifications, or using unapproved components, can lead to unexpected damage and absolves the manufacturer of legal responsibility.

ATTENTION: The pump must be connected via a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) with a rated short-circuit current not exceeding 30 mA. ATTENTION: Before connecting, ensure the electrical supply matches the pump's requirements. ATTENTION: Do not install the pump outdoors or near wet areas. WARNING: Do not install the pump in areas with explosion risk or near combustible liquids or gases. WARNING: Do not direct the water jet against the device or other electrical components; there is a risk of fatal electric shock. ATTENTION: Ensure the power cable does not contact water circulating in the pump.

Any repair must be done only by a TRUPER Authorized Service Center. Otherwise, you risk electric shock and void the warranty. Symbols on the device must not be removed or covered. Replace any illegible information immediately. Read and follow operating instructions before installing and starting the pump. Any damage caused by omitting these instructions may damage the pump and void the warranty.

Recommended for aerial irrigation with nebulizers or pulverizers.

Parts

The diagram shows the following parts:

Installation

Mounting

Install the pump in a dry, sheltered location with adequate ventilation (A), and ambient temperature not exceeding 40°C (104°F). Use bolts to fix the pump to a concrete base to prevent vibration (B). Install the pump horizontally for proper operation. Support suction and pressure pipes to the wall or floor to prevent tension transmission to the pump body (C). Be careful not to damage the pump or piping due to overtightening.

Suction Line (Inlet)

The suction pipe diameter should not be smaller than the pump's water intake diameter. If suction height exceeds 4m, use a larger diameter pipe. The suction pipe must be completely airtight. Its end should be submerged at least half a meter in water, preferably with a foot valve (D). The pipe should be vertical, bending 90° towards the pump's water intake. Failure to follow these instructions can cause air locks and bubbles that interfere with pump performance.

Pressure Line (Outlet)

Install a gate valve (E) on the outlet pipe to adjust flow speed and pressure. A check valve (F) is recommended between the pressurized water outlet and the gate valve to prevent unexpected backflow of water columns exceeding 20 meters.

Electrical Connection

Consult a professional electrician for electrical connections, adhering to mandatory regulations. The fixed installation must include a device for omnipolar disconnection from the power supply. Ensure electrical requirements on the pump's nameplate match the power supply capacity. Connect the pump to a grounded circuit and then connect the phases according to the diagram. The pump has a single-phase motor protected against overloads by a thermal device.

Start Up

Purge

Before the first start-up, after a long period of inactivity, or if air has entered the system, fill the pump with clean water before turning it on. Remove the purge cap (H) and fill with water until it reaches the orifice level. Screw the cap back on and turn on the pump. WARNING: Never start the pump when empty. If this happens accidentally, turn off the pump immediately, let it cool, and then fill it with clean water.

Maintenance

The pump requires minimal maintenance if the following precautions are taken: If there is a risk of freezing, empty the pump completely by removing the foot valve to drain the piping. If the pump will be inactive for a long period, it is recommended to empty it completely, rinse it with clean water, and store it in a dry place. If the shaft does not rotate freely, use a screwdriver to release it by inserting it into the rear orifice of the pump (J). WARNING: Disconnect the pump from the power supply before performing maintenance. If the ambient temperature is below 4°C or the pump will be unused for a long time, drain the liquid from the pipes to prevent freezing inside the pump. Do not operate the pump without water.

Troubleshooting
