Warnings

CAUTION: Always use drill at consistent lower speed (less than 400 rpm).

Preparation

• Before operating the product, make sure all parts are present.
• Compare parts with the package contents list and hardware contents list.
• If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to operate the product.

Operating Instructions

1. Push the toggle switch to unlock the cable. [Figure 1: Shows the toggle switch with 'Unlock' and 'Lock' positions.]

2. Pull the cable out of the drum and push into the drain as far as it will go. [Figure 2: Illustrates the cable being fed into a drain pipe.]

3. Pull the toggle switch to engage the auto-feed mechanism. [Figure 1: Shows the toggle switch in the 'Lock' position.]

4. If using a power drill, always use the drill at a consistent lower speed (less than 400 rpm). [Figure 4: Depicts the auger connected to a power drill, emphasizing the need for low speed.]

5. Turn the drum clockwise, and the cable will gradually feed into the drain until it reaches a clog or elbow. The cable can also be rapidly advanced/retracted by feeding it in and out of the drum by hand. [Figure 2: Shows the cable feeding into the drain.]

6. Carefully work the cable through the clog. Do not force the cable. If the cable stops turning, spin the cable without advancing it, or advance it very slowly. If the cable becomes stuck in the clog, back the cable out of the clog by turning the drum in reverse. Repeat these steps, if necessary.

7. Once the clog is cleared, turn the drum in reverse and retrieve the cable back into the drum. [Figure 3: Illustrates the cable being retrieved back into the drum.]

8. Flush the drain.
