Kit Contents
- STILETTO flashlight
- USB-to-Micro USB cable
Diagram Description: The flashlight features a primary switch, a tactical switch, a programming switch, and a fuel gauge LED indicator. A Micro-USB port is also visible.
Light Operation - Profile Configuration
The STILETTO has three switches: PRIMARY, PROGRAMMING, and TACTICAL.
PRIMARY Switch Activation
Mode 1 (Default): Press the PRIMARY switch to cycle through LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, and OFF. The cycle repeats if pressed within two seconds. If the light is on LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH and the switch is not pressed again within two seconds, the next press will turn the light OFF. The last used output is not remembered.
Mode 2: Similar to Mode 1, but the cycle is HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW, and OFF.
TACTICAL Switch Activation
Mode 1 (Default; TACTICAL & STROBE): Press and hold the TACTICAL switch for HIGH output only; release to turn OFF. For STROBE, rapidly tap the TACTICAL switch three or more times, holding on the 3rd+ press. Release the switch to turn STROBE OFF.
Mode 2 (Constant-on): Press the TACTICAL switch for constant-on HIGH output. Press again to turn OFF.
Emergency Mode Activation
Press and hold the PROGRAMMING switch for five seconds or more to activate a MEDIUM frequency, MEDIUM output STROBE. Press the PRIMARY or TACTICAL switch to turn EMERGENCY MODE OFF.
How to Change Primary and Tactical Modes
The PROGRAMMING switch is used to select the behavior of the PRIMARY and TACTICAL output buttons. The STILETTO must be OFF to change modes. Modes can be set independently for the PRIMARY and TACTICAL switches (e.g., PRIMARY on MODE 1, TACTICAL on MODE 2).
Changing Modes:
- Press and hold the PROGRAMMING switch for two to five seconds. The Fuel Gauge LED will illuminate BLUE to indicate programming mode.
- While holding the PROGRAMMING switch and observing the BLUE LED, tap either the PRIMARY or TACTICAL switch once and release the PROGRAMMING switch. Pressing either switch more than ONCE exits programming mode.
Once the PROGRAMMING switch is released, the Fuel Gauge LED blinks GREEN three times for success or RED three times for an error.
Lockout Mode
To Enable Lockout Mode:
- Press and hold the PRIMARY and TACTICAL switches simultaneously for two seconds, then release.
- The green Fuel Gauge LED will blink twice to confirm Lockout Mode is enabled.
Note: In Lockout Mode, the PRIMARY, TACTICAL, and PROGRAMMING switches will not activate the Stiletto.
To Disable Lockout Mode:
- Press the PRIMARY and TACTICAL switches simultaneously, then release.
Note: The switches will be instantly ready for use when Lockout Mode is disabled.
Fuel Gauge
The STILETTO features an LED that displays battery status during use and charging.
Fuel Gauge LED Indicator | Charging | Discharging |
---|---|---|
SOLID GREEN | 100% Charged, Max Capacity | 95-100% Charged |
SOLID YELLOW | Charging, Medium Capacity | Battery Charge Low (reduce light output level or recharge) |
SOLID RED | Charging, Low Capacity | Recharge Immediately |
FLASHING RED | Pre-charge mode | Battery Critically Low |
Charging the STILETTO
The STILETTO is powered by an integrated 950 mAh lithium polymer (LiPo) battery. The MICRO USB port is for charging input only (Standard 5V, 500 mA).
How to charge the LiPo rechargeable battery:
- Insert the MICRO USB cable plug into the STILETTO's charging port.
- Insert the USB cable plug into a USB port on a computer or another device that provides power.
- When the fuel gauge turns green, the STILETTO is charged to over 95% capacity.
Note: Charging a fully depleted battery can take up to three hours. The light can remain plugged in without damaging the battery.
Note: If charging in temperatures below 32°F (0°C) or above 120°F (50°C), the fuel gauge will blink yellow, indicating charging has stopped. Charging will resume when the temperature reaches 41°F (5°C) or 113°F (45°C). If the battery drains below 3.0V, the STILETTO enters a pre-charge mode when connected to a charger. The Fuel Gauge will blink red rapidly until the battery reaches 3.1V. After reaching 3.1V, the standard fuel gauge conditions apply.
