Coffee Selection
Use freshly ground, deep-roasted coffee specifically for espresso machines. Pre-ground coffee powder remains scented for 7-8 days if stored in a sealed container in a cool place. Do not store coffee in the refrigerator or freezer. Grind coffee beans just before use for best fragrance, which can be maintained for 4 weeks in a sealed container.
For grinding yourself, coffee must be finely ground, resembling salt. If too fine (like flour), it may cause intermittent flow or blockages. If too thick, water flows too fast, reducing flavor. Use a high-quality coffee grinder for uniform, consistent coffee.
Warnings:
- Single or double espressos can only be brewed after preheating.
- The machine will beep and its light indicators will turn on when the water tank is low. Refill the tank to return to normal.
- After using steam, hot water, or brewing functions, the machine may need to cool down before these functions can be used again. Wait until it enters standby mode.
- Empty the drip tray when the [full-tray indicator] rises.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Disconnect the device from the power supply and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Use a soft, dampened cloth to clean the outer part of the device.
- Do not immerse the main body in water or other liquids.
- Wash the water tank, drip tray, and cup-holder tray regularly.
- After using the steam function, clean the [steam tube] immediately with a cloth. Allow steam to escape to prevent blockages. If clogged, use a needle to unblock the tube.
- Turn the portafilter clockwise to detach it. Empty coffee residues and clean with water and a cloth. Do not wash in the dishwasher.
- Clean all parts with water and dry thoroughly before storing or using again.
Cleaning Mineral Deposits
Mineral deposits can affect machine performance. Regular cleaning is important. The frequency depends on water quality and usage.
An Autocleaning cycle is recommended after every 1000 uses. The machine will signal this with a reminder when turned on and indicator lights blinking red twice.
- Fill the water tank with water and descaling product up to the [MAX mark]. Citrus can also be used. (Water and descaling proportion: 4:1).
- Press the [on/off button]. The machine will start preheating, and the indicator light will turn steady.
- Insert the portafilter in its position and ensure it is securely fitted.
- Place a large container (approx. 2 L) on the cup-holder tray, large enough to catch water from the water tube, nozzle, and steam tube.
- Press and hold the [hot water button] for 5 seconds to enter Autocleaning mode.
- Turn the [steam knob] to the [position Max]. Hot water with descaling product will be emitted through the portafilter spouts and hot water/steam tubes. This process takes 10-15 minutes, then the machine turns off.
- Once finished, fill the water tank with clear water and repeat these steps until no descaling product remains.
- Clean the water tank and the drip tray.
Notes: During Autocleaning, the pump turns on/off intermittently (normal). The [steam knob] must not be at [position 0]; the machine will beep to remind you to turn it to [position Max] to clean the steam tube.
