CAUTION: If stacking cabinets or stacking a single cabinet on a wardrobe, use the MoPac Security Straps to prevent stacked cabinets from tipping and causing damage, injury, or death. See installation instructions for the security straps included with each MoPac Cabinet and MoPac Wardrobe. CAUTION: Ensure the furniture is unloaded of contents before moving. CAUTION: To prevent tipping, store the heaviest items towards the bottom. CAUTION: Keep all hardware and parts out of reach of children. CAUTION: Do not climb on or allow children to climb on this furniture. MoPac Stacking Brackets qty 2 Hardware Components M6x14 Machine Screws qty 4 M6 Washers qty 4 4mm Allen Wrench Double Sided VHB Tape qty 4 2 MoPac Stacking Brackets · The MoPac Stacking Bracket is only intended for use with a maximum of five vertically stacked MoPac Cabinets (STR026) or two MoPac Cabinet (STR026) stacked on one MoPac Wardrobe (STR029). For stacking more than two MoPac Cabinets, an additional Stacking Bracket Kit is required for each additional cabinet. · Use of the MoPac Security Straps are required to prevent stacked cabinets from tipping and causing damage, or injury, or death. See installation instructions for the security straps included with each MoPac Cabinet and MoPac Wardrobe. · Do not install MoPac Stacking Brackets on any other item. · The MoPac Stacking Bracket may be used to create twelve different vertically stacked configurations using the MoPac Cabinet and MoPac Wardrobe. If mounting two or more MoPac Cabinets, read Steps 1-6. If mounting a MoPac Wardrobe and MoPac Cabinet, proceed to Steps 7-9. © UPLIFT Desk· 800-349-3839·support@upliftdesk.com·upliftdesk.com 3 Assembly Instructions Step 1 A. Place all parts on a clean and smooth surface such as a rug, blanket, or carpet to avoid scratches. B. Remove all packaging materials, including box straps, before beginning the assembly process. C. Determine which unit (or "units" if stacking more than two) will be placed on top of the bottom unit. Step 2 Remove the leveling glides (if installed) from all of the MoPac Cabinets except the one that will be on the very bottom of the stack. Step 3 Apply four Stacking Pads (included with each MoPac Cabinet, H12) to the bottom of all of the MoPac Cabinets except the one that will be on the bottom of the stack. The Stacking Pads should be positioned on the cabinet side panels so that they cover the threaded inserts where the four leveling glides were removed in Step 2. 4 Step 4 A. Move the MoPac Cabinet that will be on the bottom of the stack to the intended final location of the stack of cabinets. If the stack will ultimately be located against a wall, leave the bottom cabinet pulled away far enough to safely get behind it to attach the MoPac Stacking Brackets. B. Place the designated upper MoPac Cabinet (or one of the upper MoPac Cabinets if stacking more than two units) with the Stacking Pads installed on top of the designated lower MoPac Cabinet. Align the back edges and sides of the two cabinets so they are flush with each other. Step 5 A. Place one MoPac Stacking Bracket over the adjacent top and bottom panels of the two stacked MoPac Cabinets and align the slots in the bracket with one set of holes in the back of the top and bottom cabinets. B. With two M6 Washers, thread two of the M6x14 Machine Screws by hand into the threaded inserts installed in the holes at the back of the top and bottom Cabinets to get them started. C. Tighten the two M6X14 Machine Screws until snug using the provided 4mm Allen Wrench. Be careful not to overtighten the screws to avoid stripping out the threaded inserts. D. Repeat the previous steps to attach a second MoPac Stacking Bracket on the opposite side of the cabinets. © UPLIFT Desk· 800-349-3839·support@upliftdesk.com·upliftdesk.com 5 Step 6 Note: VHB tape should be treated as a permanent solution. If you do not anticipate reconfiguring your cabinets, follow the steps below detailing the installation of the Double Sided VHB Tape. If you plan to disassemble and reconfigure your cabinets, do not use the VHB tape as outlined below. A. Have a friend gently lift the upmost cabinet, slightly pivoting the front side up. Hold it in place, creating a gap between the fronts of the two Cabinets. B. Peel the paper backing off of both sides of two of the Double Sided VHB Tape strips and adhere them along the front edge of the top face of the lower cabinet as shown. If desired, use the additional strips of VHB Tape. C. Lower the upper cabinet down gently so it sticks to the lower cabinet. D. Repeat Steps 1-6 if mounting additional cabinets. 6 Step 7 A. Move the MoPac Cabinet and MoPac Wardrobe to their intended final location. If the stack will ultimately be located against a wall, leave enough space to safely get behind it to attach the MoPac Stacking Brackets. B. See Steps 2-3 for preparing the Cabinet for installation. C. With assistance, gently place the cabinet on top of the wardrobe. Align the back edges and sides of the cabinet and wardrobe so they are flush with each other. Step 8 A. Place one MoPac Stacking Bracket over the adjacent top and bottom panels of the stacked cabinet and wardrobe and align the slots in the bracket with the set of holes on the back of the cabinet and wardrobe. B. With two M6 Washers, thread two of the M6x14 Machine Screws by hand into the threaded inserts installed in the holes at the back of the cabinet and wardrobe to get them started. C. Tighten the two M6X14 Machine Screws until snug using the provided 4mm Allen Wrench. Be careful not to overtighten the screws to avoid stripping out the threaded inserts. D.
