Assembling the Scooter

  1. Tighten the bolts with two wrenches.
  2. Remove the nut from the screw, tilt it under the base plate and then place it in the hole as shown.
  3. Place the nut on the front wheel, align the holes and tighten the nut with a wrench.
  4. Install the other front wheel by steps 2 and 3.
  5. Assemble the stem with the body: Insert the stem into the body accordingly. Press the red button and insert the stem downwards. When the red buckle below clasps the body, the scooter is assembled.

Adjusting the Stem

Open the clamp, press the metal peg in, and raise or lower the stem to one of the three height levels. The peg should pop into place. Close the clamp to secure the stem.

Note: In order for the scooter to be safe to ride, (1) the metal peg must pop into one of the designated holes and (2) the clamp must be closed.

A diagram illustrates adjusting the stem height using the clamp and peg.

Before You Begin Riding

Recommended Riding Practices

Parental supervision is required. Only use the scooter in a controlled environment that is free of potential traffic hazards and not on public streets. Avoid use in any areas where there are any motor vehicles operating. Have two hands on the handlebars at all times. Never allow more than one child at a time to ride the scooter. Never use near steps, slopes, driveways, hills, roadways, alleys, or swimming pool areas.

Do not ride a scooter in wet weather. Scooters are intended and made to be used on concreted or smoothed paved areas that are flat, clean, and dry, free from any loose debris such as rocks, sticks, or gravel. Wet, slick, or uneven and rough surfaces may impair traction and contribute to possible accidents. Avoid riding this scooter in mud, ice, puddles, or water. Avoid excessive speeds that can be associated with downhill rides. Do not ride at night or when visibility is impaired.

Safety Equipment

Always ensure the child is wearing proper protective equipment such as a certified safety helmet. A helmet may be legally required by local law; check with your local law enforcement. Users should always wear shoes that are fully enclosed with flat soles.

Maintenance & Repair

If you regularly clean and maintain your scooter, it will extend its life.

Maintenance

Even though you own one of the best scooters on earth, it is not indestructible, and you have to maintain it if you want it to be fast and to offer the same riding pleasure.

Cleaning Your Scooter

To keep it in good shape, you should clean your scooter as often as possible. Never use alcohol or any strong cleaning agents to clean your scooter, as doing so may damage paint or fragile materials. Warm water and a damp cloth should be enough. Avoid putting water directly on the grip tape and never submerge your scooter in water.

Storage

When you're not using your scooter, store it in a dry and cool location. Avoid storing your scooter outdoors because sun exposure can damage its appearance and may cause wear on the life of the scooter.

Warranty

Please contact GOTRAX customer service if you are experiencing problems or need more detailed information.
