1.3 What's in the Box

Your Eris Accent BT package contains the following:

2 Connections and Controls

Eris Accent BT speakers consist of one active speaker and one passive speaker. Nearly every connection is located exclusively on the active speaker. This speaker provides signal and power for the passive speaker. The exceptions are the bare-wire connectors, which send power and signal from the active speaker to the passive speaker.

2.1.2 Outputs

2.1.3 Speaker Connections

Bare-wire connectors. This connection is used to send power and send signals to the passive Eris speaker. Be sure to connect the positive and negative connections on your active Eris speaker to the positive and negative connections, respectively, on the passive Eris speaker (i.e. connect positive to positive and negative to negative).

2.1.4 Power

2.2 Side Panel

When the speaker powers on from Standby mode, each press of the encoder will cycle through the available audio sources. There are a total of 6 audio sources. Each source is indicated by a different LED color. The corresponding LED colors are labeled below the input ports on the back panel:

Note: If no signal is detected for 40 minutes, Accent BT will enter Standby mode (LED in RED color). The speaker will automatically power on from standby mode when a signal is detected again or by pressing this knob.

Treble: Boosts or cuts all frequencies above 2 kHz by ±6 dB.

Power User Tip: This EQ is much like the treble control on a home or car stereo: It raises or lowers the gain on all frequencies above the specified cutoff frequency. Shelving EQs can make big changes to the sound very quickly by adding or removing an entire range of frequencies.

Bass: Boosts or cuts frequencies around 500 Hz by ±6 dB.

Power User Tip: This function is the equivalent to the Bass control on a home or car stereo: It raises or lowers the gain on all frequencies below the specified cutoff frequency. Shelving EQs can make big changes to sound very quickly by adding or removing an entire range of frequencies.

2.3 Remote Control

  1. Power/Standby: Press to enter standby mode.
  2. Mute: Press this to mute the speakers. Press again to unmute.
  3. Bluetooth (BT): Press this to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. See section 4.1 for details about Bluetooth pairing.
  4. Input Select: Select the audio source input you would like to connect to.
  5. Decrease/Increase Volume: Press to either decrease or increase the speaker volume.
  6. Previous Song: Press to return to the previously played song.
  7. Next Song: Press to skip forward to the next song.
  8. Play/Pause: Press to play or pause the song.

Note: The Previous, Next and Play/Pause buttons only work for Bluetooth and USB sources.

Caution! Use only high quality batteries, low quality batteries might leak and cause damage. Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not using it for an extended period. The remote control could become damaged in case of battery leakage.

4 Bluetooth Pairing

4.1 Step-By-Step

Your Eris Accent BT can be paired with any Bluetooth device for audio playback. Press the "BT Pair" button on the side control panel of the active Accent BT speaker. This will put the Eris Accent BT into pairing mode.

The Power/Bluetooth LED on the side of the active speaker will flash blue, indicating pairing is active.

On your device, open the Bluetooth settings and select "Eris Accent BT" from the list to pair.

Once your Eris speakers are paired, the Power/Bluetooth LED will illuminate solid blue. The Eris Accent BT will beep to acknowledge a successful pairing.
