- OT terminal *5
- Terminal cover *5
- M5 inner hexagonal screw *1
- AC waterproof cover *1
- Product manual *1
- Quick installation guide *1
- Optional: Pocket WiFi/LAN, 4G, Meter
Note: For inverters with two MPPT strings, there are 4 positive and 4 negative PV terminals and pin contacts. For three MPPT strings, there are 6 positive and 6 negative PV terminals and pin contacts. Refer to the individual manuals for optional communication products.
II. Inverter Installation
Follow these steps to securely mount the inverter:
- Mark the positions for three mounting holes on the wall. Ensure the depth is at least 60 mm.
- Drill the holes using a 10 mm drill bit and insert expansion bolts.
- Tighten the expansion bolts using a rubber hammer.
- Screw in the expansion screws using an outer hexagonal wrench.
- Align the inverter with the bracket.
- Use the inner hexagonal wrench to tighten the inner hexagonal screw on the right side of the inverter with a torque of 1.2±0.1 N·m.
III. PV Connection
Connect the PV array to the inverter using the provided terminals and tools:
Tools Required: Stripping pliers, Wire crimper (recommended model: H4TC0001 by Amphenol), Outer hexagonal wrench.
Cable Size: 2.5-4 mm²
Strip Length: 7.0 mm
- Strip the cable ends using stripping pliers.
- Crimp the cable ends using the wire crimper.
- Use the OT terminal crimping tool to press the OT terminal onto the cable.
- Align the PV connectors (male and female plugs) and tighten the nuts securely. Torque: 1.2±0.1 N·m.
- Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) PV cables to the corresponding PV terminals on the inverter.
Note: The PV connection mode shown in the diagram is critical. Incorrect connections are not allowed.
IV. AC Connection
Connect the AC power to the inverter:
- Select the appropriate cable size based on the power range as recommended in the product manual.
- Prepare the AC waterproof cover, fastening nut, and sealing rings. Select the correct sealing rings based on the cable's outer diameter.
- Thread the cable through the fastening nut, sealing ring(s), and waterproof cover.
- Strip 82 mm of insulation from the cable ends.
- Crimp the cable ends using the wire crimper.
- Press the OT terminal onto the cable using the OT terminal crimping tool.
- Attach terminal covers to conductors L1, L2, L3, N, and the grounding conductor (PE). Ensure the covers are positioned below the stripped conductor section.
- Tighten the screws for each wire connection with a screwdriver.
- Align the waterproof cover and tighten the four screws using an inner hexagonal wrench with a torque of 1.2±0.1 N·m.
V. Earth Connection and Overview
Ensure proper grounding for safety:
- Tighten the ground screw using an inner hexagonal wrench with a torque of 1.2±0.1 N·m.
- Overview for connection: The diagram shows the overall connection layout.
- Start inverter:
1. Turn on the external AC breaker.
2. Turn on the DC switch to the "ON" position.
3. The inverter will start automatically when PV panels generate sufficient energy. The LED indicator will turn blue.
VI. WiFi Connection
Connect the inverter to a network for monitoring:
- The inverter is equipped with a WiFi/LAN port for connecting a communication module (e.g., Pocket WiFi, Pocket LAN) to transmit inverter status and performance data to a monitoring website.
- Insert the Pocket WiFi module into the "Dongle" port located on the bottom of the inverter.
Note: For detailed instructions on using communication modules, refer to their respective user manuals.
VII. USB Connection (for upgrading)
Update the inverter firmware using a USB drive:
- Ensure the DC switch is off and the AC power is disconnected. If a Pocket WiFi is connected, remove it first.
- Insert the U-disk (containing the update package) into the "Dongle" port on the bottom of the inverter.
- Turn on the DC switch and connect the PV connector. The LCD screen will display an update status.
- Use the "Up" and "Down" buttons to select either "ARM" or "DSP" for updating. Long press the "Down" button to select the correct update file and confirm. ARM and DSP must be updated sequentially.
- After the update is complete, turn off the DC switch or disconnect the PV connector, remove the U-disk, and reconnect the Pocket WiFi if applicable.
Note: Obtain the update package from SolaX service support and extract it to your U-disk without modifying the file name. Incorrect file names may cause the inverter to malfunction.
