This document provides instructions for the Thule Verse bike rack, available for 2" and 1.25" hitch sizes.
Load Capacity
- 2" Hitch (903452): Max 60 lbs. (27.5 kg) per bike, Max 120 lbs. (55 kg) total.
- 1.25" Hitch (903453): Max 55 lbs. (25 kg) per bike, Max 110 lbs. (50 kg) total.
Important Note for Motorized RVs: For motorized RVs or van conversions with an overhang exceeding 230 cm (7.5 ft) from the center of the rear wheel, use only at 60% load capacity (40% total load reduction).
WARNING! This carrier is not compatible with travel trailers/caravans, 5th wheels, or any bumper-mounted hitch receiver.
Installation and Usage
The following steps outline the general installation and usage of the Thule Verse bike rack. Always refer to the detailed diagrams for precise assembly.
Step 1: Prepare the Hitch Mount
Ensure the hitch receiver dimensions are compatible. The hitch opening should be at least 1.5" (38 mm) deep.

Step 2: Attaching the Rack to the Vehicle

Step 3: Securing the Bikes

Bike Spacing and Fit:
- 2" Hitch (903452): Supports bikes with wheelbases from 20" to 29" and wheel sizes from 1" to 5" max.
- 1.25" Hitch (903453): Supports bikes with wheelbases from 33" min to 53" max.

Step 4: Final Checks and Locking
