Connecting the device via [Bluetooth]
After searching for several seconds, if no most recently connected audio output device is found, a short alert tone will sound and the speaker will automatically switch into pairing mode, which enables the connection of a new audio output device. The [Status LED] will rapidly flash blue.
Turn on [Bluetooth] on your audio output device and start the search for [Bluetooth] devices nearby.
Select the speaker "MD 43989" from the device list on your audio output device and pair the devices with each other.
If a connection password is requested, enter "0000".
When pairing is successful, a short alert tone will sound on the speaker, and the [Status LED] will flash blue once after 4 seconds and then at 2-second intervals. The devices are now connected to each other and you can start playing audio.
Reconnect mode
After it turns on, the speaker will be in reconnect mode and will search for the most recently connected audio output device. If possible, the speaker establishes this connection automatically.
Turn on [Bluetooth] on the audio output device if you would like it connected to the speaker again.
During the search, the [Status LED] flashes blue at 5-second intervals.
When the connection is established, a short alert tone will sound on the speaker, and the [Status LED] will flash blue once after 4 seconds and then at 2-second intervals. The devices are now connected to each other and you can start playing audio.
Changing from connected mode to pairing mode
Even if an active connection to an audio output device already exists, it is possible to connect another audio output device to the speaker without needing to turn the speaker off.
To change from connected mode to pairing mode, keep button 5 pressed until you hear an alert tone. The [Status LED] will rapidly flash blue.
Now connect the devices as described in the "Pairing mode" section.
Turning the device off
Turn the speaker off by pressing and holding button 9 on the top of the device until you hear a series of tones. The [Status LED] will go out and the [Bluetooth] connection to a connected audio output device will be automatically terminated.
