  • INDEX Button: Switches between mold indicator, dew point, and heat index. Hold for 2 seconds to switch between °C/°F and set weather symbol mode.
  • MEM Button: Displays stored MAX and MIN values.
  • CH Button: Displays weather data from different wireless sensors (channels 1, 2, 3). Also used to reconnect the wireless sensor connection.

2. Hole for wall mounting

3. Detachable stand

4. Battery compartment

Wireless Sensor

1. Red pilot light

2. TX button

3. Sliding switch 1, 2, 3: Sets the sensor number (transmission channel).

4. Battery compartment

5. Loop for hanging

Note: The included wireless sensor is pre-configured. Changing the transmission channel is only necessary when adding additional sensors.

How to Set Up

Insert Batteries

  1. Insert 2x AA batteries into the wireless sensor, observing correct polarity. The red LED indicator will flash during transmission.
  2. Open the battery compartment of the weather station and insert 3x AAA batteries, observing correct polarity. Close the compartment. The screen will turn off after 10 seconds and requires a touch to activate.

Switch Temperature Unit (°C/°F) and Set Weather Symbol

Upon first power-up, the unit enters °C/°F selection, then weather symbol setting.

  1. The °C/°F symbol will flash (default is °F). Press the INDEX button to switch between °C and °F. Press the MEM button to save.
  2. After setting the temperature unit, the weather symbol will flash (default is half sunny). It adjusts automatically, but can be manually set using the INDEX button.
  3. Press the INDEX button repeatedly to cycle through weather symbols: sunny, partly cloudy, overcast, rain, thunderstorm, snow, snowstorm.
  4. Press the MEM button to save the weather symbol setting.

Pairing the Outdoor Sensor with the Weather Station

After installing batteries, the weather station attempts to receive RF signals from the outdoor sensor on the same channel for 3 minutes. Use the CH button on the base unit to match the correct sensor.

The sensor usually connects automatically. If not, follow these steps:

  • Ensure the weather station and outdoor sensor are on the same channel.
  • Long-press the CH button on the base unit to search for the sensor signal. The sensor receiving icon will flash during the search and become stable upon connection.
  • The station automatically searches for the signal every 3 minutes until connected.

Note: After replacing the sensor battery, press and hold the CH button on the base unit to re-establish the connection.

Mold Indicator, Dew-point Display, and Heat Index

Press the INDEX button to cycle through these displays:

  • Mold Indicator: Shows the possibility of mold growth based on temperature and humidity. Possible indicators: LOW, MED, HI.
  • Dew-point Display: The temperature at which dew or mist forms. If below 32°F (0°C), "L.L.L" is displayed. If above 140°F (60°C), "H.H.H" is displayed.
  • Heat Index: Displays the perceived temperature based on temperature and humidity. If outdoor temperature is below 80°F (26.7°C), the actual temperature is shown. Above 80°F (26.7°C), it's calculated by software. If above 158°F (70°C), "158°F (70°C)" is displayed.

Daily MAX/MIN Data

All MAX/MIN records reset automatically every 24 hours.

From the normal display, press and release the MEM button to view:

  • MAX: Indoor and outdoor maximum temperature/humidity records.
  • MIN: Indoor and outdoor minimum temperature/humidity records.

Pressing the MEM button repeatedly in normal display mode shows the current day's maximum and minimum values.

Note: Pressing and holding the MEM button clears the highest and lowest temperature and humidity values recorded since midnight.

Other Functions

Low Battery Indicator

When batteries are low, indicators 11 (indoor) or 15 (outdoor) will appear. Replace batteries promptly and restart the weather station.

Weather Trend

Temperature and humidity trends are shown by arrows: ⬆️ rising, ➡️ constant, ⬇️ falling.

Weather Forecast Icons

Icons predict weather for the next 12 hours based on barometric pressure. Allow 7-10 days for calibration. There are 7 forecast icons:

  • Sunny: Clear skies.
  • Partly cloudy: Some clouds.
  • Overcast: Mostly cloudy.
  • Rain: Rain expected.
  • Thunderstorm: Thunderstorms expected.
  • Snowfall: Snow expected.
  • Heavy snowfall: Heavy snow expected.

Note: The forecast may not reflect current conditions. Accuracy is around 75%. If outdoor temperature is below 30.2°F (-1°C) and forecast is RAIN or T-STORM, SNOW will be displayed.

Temperature Alarm

A snowflake symbol ❄️ will flash if the wireless sensor measures a temperature between 33.8°F (1°C) and 30.2°F (-1°C), indicating frost risk. The symbol will be displayed constantly if the temperature stays below 30.2°F (-1°C) for an extended period.

Note: Frost or black ice risk exists around freezing points even if the alarm is not displayed. The outdoor sensor only measures local temperature.

How to Add Extra Sensors

The station supports up to three wireless sensors. Additional sensors are available for purchase.

Note:

  1. Set different channels (1-3) for each sensor using the sliding switch near the batteries.
  2. On the base unit, press and hold the CH button while the corresponding channel is displayed until the signal icon flashes to pair the new sensor.

Where the Sensor Should Be Placed

  1. The sensor can be hung or placed.
  2. Place under a porch or eaves for protection.
  3. Ensure placement is within the maximum range of 328ft (100m) in an open area.
  4. Mount the sensor vertically to allow moisture to drain correctly.

Notes:

  • Building materials like reinforced concrete can block radio reception.
  • Electronic devices (TVs, phones, computers) can interfere with wireless signals.
  • Avoid placing the base unit or sensors directly on the floor, as this reduces range.
  • Low temperatures in winter can reduce battery performance and transmitter range.

Where the Weather Station Should Be Placed

  • Place on a flat surface using the stand, or mount on a wall using hanging holes.
  • Position at least 6 feet away from electronic devices (cordless phones, gaming systems, TVs, microwaves, routers).
  • Ensure it's within range of outdoor sensors (330 ft, 100m open air).
  • Obstacles like walls, windows, stucco, concrete, and metal objects can reduce range.

Resetting the Weather Station

If incorrect values are displayed, reset to factory settings:

  1. Remove batteries from both the outdoor sensor and weather station.
  2. Reinsert batteries into both units.
  3. Keep them within a few feet of each other for about 20 minutes to establish a strong connection.

Care and Maintenance

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix battery types (Alkaline, Standard, Lithium, Rechargeable).
  • Use the correct battery size and grade.
  • Replace all batteries in a set simultaneously.
  • Clean battery contacts and device contacts before installing batteries.
  • Ensure correct battery polarity (+ and -).
  • Remove batteries if the equipment will not be used for an extended period.
  • Promptly remove expired batteries.
