Item #: 1007129399, 1007129810 | Model #: DFI-8852-BZ-G, DFI-8852-WH-G
Refer to the included full instruction manual “Use and Care Guide” for installation, safety, and additional information. ? NOTE: This fixture comes with a mounting base. It is pre-assembled on the light fixture for shipping. Diagram shows a light fixture (B) detaching from a mounting base (D) by pressing a tab (1) on the top, near the lamp heads (A). ⚠️ WARNING: Turn the power off at the circuit breaker or fuse. Place tape over the circuit breaker switch and verify power is off at the light fixture. Diagram illustrates installing the mounting bracket (EE) to a junction box. A wire connector (AA) is shown for ground wire connection. The bracket has a 'FRONT' indicator. Screws (BB or CC) are indicated for attachment. ⚠️ WARNING: Turn the power off at the circuit breaker or fuse. Place tape over the circuit breaker switch and verify power is off at the light fixture. ? NOTE: If necessary, strip 3/8 in. (approx. 9.5 mm) of insulation from junction box wires. Diagram shows wiring connections to a quick connect (2) on the mounting base (D). Junction box wires (3) are inserted. A 3/8 inch measurement is shown for stripping insulation. Diagram shows the mounting base (D) attached to the mounting bracket (EE) using a bolt (DD). An 'UP' arrow indicates correct orientation for wall or eave mounting. ? NOTICE: The light fixture must fully snap into place for the light to operate properly. Diagram shows the light fixture (B) being attached to the mounting base (D). Alignment marks (4), slots (5) on the control module (6), and pins (7) on the mounting base are indicated. The 'Wall Mount' illustration shows the fixture (B) sliding onto the base (D). ❗ IMPORTANT: The light fixture and control module will only rotate one direction. Do NOT FORCE the control module if it does not turn. ? NOTICE: The light fixture must fully snap into place for the light to operate properly. Diagram illustrates the 'Eave Mount' setup. It shows rotating the control module (6) by 180 degrees. Alignment marks (4), slots (5), and pins (7) are used to attach the light fixture (B) to the mounting base (D). ⚠️ CAUTION: Failure to completely caulk around the light fixture's mounting base could result in water seepage into the light fixture and/or junction box. Diagram shows the light fixture (B) and mounting base (D) with a line indicating the area for caulking. ⚠️ WARNING: Risk of fire. Keep the lamp heads at least 2 in. (51 mm) from combustible materials. ⚠️ CAUTION: Keep lamp heads 30° below horizontal to avoid water damage and electrical shock. Diagram shows two adjustable lamp heads (A) with curved arrows indicating up/down and side-to-side movement. ? NOTE: When the "ON-TIME" switch is set to the "TEST" position, the light fixture will operate during the day or night. The light will stay on for 8 seconds after all motion is stopped. ? NOTE: The motion sensor will need to completely warm up (60 seconds) before beginning the setup process. Diagram of the control panel shows 'Brightness' settings (Hi, Med, Lo, Eco, Default) and 'On Time' settings (20S, 1Min, Test, 5Min). It also indicates 'Wired: 5min', 'Solar: OFF', 'Battery: OFF'. Diagrams illustrate adjusting the motion sensor (C). One shows a circular detection pattern with 'NEAR' and 'FAR' zones. Another shows the sensor (C) being tilted up or down. Text explains 'UP' increases distance and 'DOWN' decreases it. A distance of 'FAR 50 ft.' is indicated. ? NOTE: The "ON-TIME" switch determines the amount of time the light will stay on full bright after all motion has stopped. Diagram shows the 'On Time' switch with settings 20S, 1Min, and 5Min. The 'TEST' position is also highlighted. This light fixture (B) has an adjustable light level (lumen) setting. The higher the lumen number, the brighter the light output. Use the chart below to select the brightness level desired. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
