Quick Start Guide

  1. Place the dispenser on the floor in your desired location. The product is designed for indoor use only. Note: Do not plug the power cord into the wall outlet until instructed.
  2. Position the dispenser so its rear is at least 4 inches from the wall, with at least 4 inches of clearance on both sides.
  3. Slide the drip tray into place.
  4. Slide the coffee pod drawer into the slot until it clicks. CAUTION: Keep fingers away from the inside of the drawer, as the needle is very sharp.
  5. Clean the sensor with a damp cloth and dish soap. Visit PrimoWater.com for detailed cleaning instructions. Place the sensor assembly in the support inside the door to keep it clean.
  6. Take a Primo water bottle (sold separately) and remove the cap completely. Insert the sensor assembly into the bottle. Press firmly to secure the assembly over the bottle opening. For 3-gallon bottles, squeeze the tabs on the top of the sensor assembly to separate the sensor cap from the collar, then press the collar firmly onto the bottle opening.
  7. Slide the bottle into the cabinet and close the door. (Note: Water will not pump from the bottle unless the door is fully closed).
  8. Plug the dispenser into a GFCI-protected outlet. The dispenser will begin to pump water to fill the internal hot and cold reservoirs.
  9. Turn on desired functions by flipping the switches on the rear of the dispenser to the ON position. (Blue: cools water, Green: night light, Red: heats water).
  10. Once the dispenser stops filling the internal reservoirs, dispense and discard approximately 1 quart of water (about 2 pint glasses) from both the hot and cold water spouts.
  11. Cold water will be ready in approximately 1 hour, and hot water in approximately 12 minutes.

Operating Instructions

Dispensing Cold Water

  1. Water will take approximately 1 hour to cool completely after initial setup.
  2. Press your glass or container against the lever below the blue circle to dispense cold water. Release to stop dispensing.

Dispensing Hot Water

  1. Water will take approximately 12 minutes to reach its hottest temperature after initial setup. The heating light will stop flashing once the water is fully heated.
  2. This dispenser is equipped with a child-safety feature. To dispense hot water, press the red lock button, then press your glass or container against the lever directly below the red lock button. Release to stop dispensing.
CAUTION: This unit dispenses water at temperatures that can cause severe burns. Avoid direct contact with hot water. Keep children and pets away from the unit while dispensing. Never allow children to dispense hot water without adequate, direct supervision. Turn off the heating function by switching the heating switch on the rear of the unit to the OFF position, or unplug the unit. The product is designed solely for dispensing water. Do not use with other liquids.

Preparing Single-Serve Beverages

  1. Press the silver button to eject the coffee pod drawer and remove it completely from the dispenser.
  2. Insert your chosen K-Cup pod (sold separately) and press it firmly into place until the needle pierces the bottom of the pod and the top of the pod is level with the top of the drawer. CAUTION: Keep fingers away from the inside of the drawer, as the needle is very sharp.
  3. Slide the drawer into the dispenser and push until it clicks. The quantity buttons will illuminate green.
  4. Press the button for your desired quantity: 6 ounces, 8 ounces, or 10 ounces.
  5. If you do not select a quantity within 5 seconds, the quantity buttons will turn off to prevent accidental dispensing of hot water. To reactivate the quantity selection buttons, simply remove and re-insert the coffee pod drawer and make your selection.
  6. After brewing, eject the drawer by pressing the silver button directly above the drawer opening, carefully remove and discard the used K-Cup pod, and slide the drawer back into the dispenser.
  7. You can brew approximately three 6-ounce servings or two 8- to 10-ounce servings consecutively. The red heating light will flash when water is heating.

Using the Reusable Coffee Filter

  1. Turn the coffee filter lid to the left to remove it.
  2. Add your favorite coffee grounds (sold separately) up to the fill line above the filter screen.
  3. Replace the coffee filter lid and turn it to the right to secure it.
  4. Align the notch on the bottom of the reusable coffee filter with the needle inside the coffee pod drawer.
  5. Slide the coffee pod drawer into the dispenser and push until it clicks.

NOTE: Fine ground coffee, tea leaves, cocoa, or other powdered beverages are not recommended as they may clog the filter.

Replacing the Water Bottle

When the bottle is empty, the empty bottle light will flash. To prevent freezing or overheating, the dispenser will not heat or cool water when the bottle light is flashing. Replace the bottle as soon as possible to re-enable heating and cooling.

  1. Open the dispenser cabinet door and slide the empty bottle out of the cabinet.
  2. Remove the sensor assembly from the empty bottle and place it in the sensor support.
  3. Set the empty bottle aside.
  4. Completely remove the plastic cap from the new bottle.
  5. Place the sensor assembly into the new bottle and slide the collar down until it snaps into place. Press the top of the sensor until the tube touches the bottom of the bottle. For 3-gallon bottles, squeeze the tabs on the top of the sensor assembly to separate the sensor cap from the collar, then press the collar firmly onto the bottle opening.
  6. Slide the bottle into the cabinet and close the door.

Cleaning and Maintenance

For best taste, performance, and hygiene, clean the cabinet, controls, bottle sensor, and spout each time you replace the water bottle. Use a clean, soft cloth and a food-grade disinfectant or bleach solution.

Empty and clean the drip tray as needed. Regularly remove and clean the coffee pod drawer (keep fingers away from the needle inside the drawer). The drip tray and coffee pod drawer are dishwasher-safe.

Clean the cold reservoir at least once every 3 months.
