Cudy AP1200 Hardware Installation Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the hardware installation of the Cudy AP1200 access point.

Package Contents

Before starting, ensure all components are present:

  • AP1200 Access Point
  • Mounting Bracket (a)
  • M3x50 Screws (b)
  • KA3x20 Screws (c)
  • Wall Anchors (d)
  • Cable Gland (e)
  • Ethernet Cable (f)
  • Grounding Wire (g)

Installation Steps

Step 1: Prepare Mounting Location

Drill holes for the mounting bracket. The diameter of the holes should be approximately Ø6mm (Ø15/64").

Step 2: Attach Mounting Bracket

Secure the mounting bracket (a) to the wall using M3x50 screws (b) and wall anchors (d) if necessary. Ensure the bracket is firmly attached.

Step 3: Mount the Access Point

Align the AP1200 with the mounting bracket and slide it into place until it clicks. The bracket should be oriented correctly for the access point to hang securely.

Step 4: Connect Ethernet Cable

Feed the Ethernet cable (f) through the cable gland (e) and connect it to the AP1200's Ethernet port. Secure the cable gland to protect the connection.

Step 5: Connect Grounding Wire

Attach the grounding wire (g) to the grounding point on the AP1200 and to a suitable grounding point on the building structure.

Step 6: Final Adjustments

The AP1200 can be tilted up to 45° after installation for optimal signal direction. Ensure the device is securely mounted.

Step 7: Angle Adjustment (Optional)

For specific coverage needs, the AP1200 can be adjusted vertically up to 20°.

Important Notes

  • Ensure the power is turned off before installation.
  • Use appropriate safety equipment when drilling.
  • Refer to the user manual for detailed configuration instructions.
